The fourth part of the tenth chapter: Explaining the pure fruit of the uncommon mantra path. The fourth part of the tenth chapter: Explaining the pure fruit of the uncommon mantra path. Having explained the fruits of worldly and supreme attainments, now explaining the pure means of the uncommon mantra path. That is, it is said, "Feces, urine, meat, etc., are used for fire offerings." If it is said that the wisdom being (Bodhisattva) who makes fire offerings with the five ambrosias such as feces and urine is filled with impure things, how can it not become sinful? If it is sinful, how can it become the fruit of accomplishment? In response, it is said: "Ignorant and foolish beings." etc. It means that in front of sentient beings with ego-grasping and conceptual thoughts, Virtuous actions are merit, and non-virtuous actions are sin. But for practitioners who have wisdom without discrimination and abide in meditative concentration, good and non-good, etc., are powerless. Relying on wisdom and the fourth emptiness, nourished by great bliss, the arising of uncontaminated wisdom, for them, there is no distinction between good and non-good, etc. The five ambrosias, etc., also have no distinction between purity and impurity. For the benefit of sentient beings, to tame those to be tamed, the activities of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful actions are explained. If wisdom is completely abandoned, and consciousness and wisdom have not arisen, abiding in external objects, entangled by the web of conceptual thoughts, then merit and sin, etc., will be regarded as dualistic. Although the nature is pure, for those who are obscured by ignorance, sin and merit are what the Victorious Ones have said. If it is not in things, then why say it? Because it is a means of guidance. Both sin and merit are like a boat for those who want to cross the shore, and after reaching the city of emptiness, the reality of what should be known, they should be completely abandoned. The conclusion is: Therefore, abandon the collection of conceptual thoughts and firmly practice the profound Dharma. And so on.
