The Vajra Words of Chapter Five The Vajra Words of Chapter Five Now, let's begin to explain the vajra words of Chapter Five. In the phrase, "Here, mothers, sisters, etc., those with yoga always worship," "here" refers to this path of unsurpassed secret desire. "Mother" refers to any karma mudra that is blessed as the wisdom mother. "Sister, etc." means that a sister is a woman of similar age to oneself, blessed as a karma mudra. "Etc." includes daughters and granddaughters. These also include those younger than oneself, but not exactly as the words imply, blessed as mudras. To dispel the confusion spoken of in the tantras, the Bhagavan said in some great yoga tantras, "Mothers, daughters, and sisters, etc., those who should not be approached may be approached." And so on, extensively taught. Therefore, in the Fifth Chapter of the Second Examination, it says, "Mothers, daughters, and sisters, granddaughters, aunts, female servants, daughters-in-law, and one's own wet nurse, are known as the eight vidyas. The yogi should worship with kisses and embraces." This refers to the eight vidyas blessed as the white mother, the thief mother, the corpse mother, and so on. Similarly, in the Seventh Chapter of the Second Examination, it says, "If one makes a great offering of the tsok wheel to mothers and sisters, and to grandmothers and daughters-in-law, one will attain all siddhis." And so on, all of these should be understood as before, but not literally. "Those with yoga" refers to abiding in the ultimate state of the samadhi of method and wisdom, having blessed the vajra and lotus. "Always worship" means that until one attains the state free from elaboration, one should be satisfied with the bliss of absorption. Therefore, the condensed meaning here is that women who meet the standards of age, etc., are indicated by the code words of mother, etc., should be grasped and well trained, and oneself should also be trained. With the bliss of absorption with them, the nature of the body, the aggregates, elements, and sources should be

Having satisfied the mandalas of the gods themselves with that, then within the vajra jewel, the mind, the seed, should be pleased with the supreme offering. When one is well established in the supreme offering, one should not initiate the bliss offering of that samadhi; one should abide only in the supreme offering. Thus it is said: Having abandoned and forsaken women, one cultivates the wisdom mudra. Once wisdom is accomplished, then from that, enlightenment is achieved through the great mudra. Thus it is said. Again it is said: With this secret samadhi, one should not look upon worldly union. Thus it is. Therefore, for those who are not capable of the great mudra and samadhi, it is said to be karma mudra and wisdom mudra and samadhi, but not for those who are capable of the great mudra and samadhi. Therefore, in the eighth chapter of the second section, "Neither too long nor too short," and so forth, the great mudra that is shown is only said to be that the emptiness explained by great compassion is to entice those who are inferior. If it is not so, what is the use of the completion stage without elaboration? What is the bliss obtained from the father like? Bliss, bliss is self-enjoyment. Dying by what is also bliss, bliss, bliss is said to be meditation. This means: Father, that is, the aspect of mind-only, is called father. The bliss obtained from the father, what kind of bliss is it, is merely the bliss of the nature of benefiting all sentient beings. That bliss is self-enjoyment. This means: one should realize one's own nature, the supreme emptiness, and the essence of compassion, from beginningless time, to be manifestly enlightened. What is that bliss like? Therefore it is said: Dying by what is also bliss. The bliss of dying by what is the cessation of the life-force wind exerted by body, speech, and mind, that is, dying by what. What will that become? It is said, "My bliss is," that is the nature of the supreme, perfect, and complete enlightenment. What is called meditation is because it is non-conceptual and one-pointed. What is called saying, how is it explained, is the term for conventional truth. Thus it is shown: All dharmas are mind-only.
