Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, breaking the vase of various conceptualizations, with the clear light of the Sugata-garbha lamp, dispelling the darkness of the mind, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, scattering the clouds of various conceptualizations, causing the Sugata-garbha Dharmakaya sun and moon, to become manifest, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, opening the treasure of the poor from within the afflictions, with the inexhaustible great treasure of the Sugata-garbha, relieving the poverty of beings, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, destroying the mud shell of afflictive conceptualizations, with the Sugata-garbha wish-fulfilling jewel, fulfilling the wishes of beings, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, removing the foul odor of the tattered clothes of thought, causing the precious body of the Victorious Ones, the essence of the Buddhas, to become manifest, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the kindness of your words and the power of your oral instructions, tearing apart the womb of afflictive conceptualizations, causing the fully enlightened Chakravartin (Wheel-Turning King), to become manifest, I bow to the feet of the Lama. Through the grace of the Lama's oral instructions, Dispelling the manifold conceptualizations like a swarm of bees, The Sugata-garbha is the taste of great bliss nectar, Making self and others joyful, with reverence, I prostrate at the feet of the Lama. The prayer called 'The Clear Illumination of the Essence' is complete. (The original is a old manuscript from Drepung Gomang college, page 154, written in Uchen script, and the Jintang edition.)
