Abridged Introduction by Zhangtonpa Abridged Introduction by Zhangtonpa ༈ Oṃ namo guru buddha bodhisattva bhyo namo namaḥ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་བུད་དྷ་བོ་དྷི་ས་ཏྭ་བྷྱོ་ན་མོ་ན་མཿ,梵文天城体:ओँ नमो गुरु बुद्ध बोधिसत्त्व भ्यो नमोनमः,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ namo guru buddha bodhisattva bhyo namo namaḥ,English literal meaning: Om, I pay homage to the guru (teacher), the Buddha, and the Bodhisattvas! Homage! Homage!) For the yogi who dwells in the profound path of meditation according to the instructions, various experiences of vision arise. Whatever appears, whether good or bad, its essence is the clear light Dharmakāya. At the time of death and in the bardo, those visions will appear even more numerous and clear than now. At that time, recognizing them as the Dharmakāya is called the union of mother and child clear light. Having become like that, there will be no suffering such as fear in the bardo, and by dissolving into the clear light, there may even be liberation without a future rebirth. Therefore, it is important to cultivate samadhi in this way. In the post-meditation period, since everything that appears is endowed with all aspects of clear light, one should think that such various appearances arise. If one trains the mind in this way, it will be beneficial at the time of death and in the bardo. In the bardo, it is important to recognize that it is the bardo. For that purpose, from now on, one should repeatedly examine whether one is in the bardo or not, and continuously meditate as if one is in the bardo. Furthermore, whatever arises from the force of meditation, such as physical experiences like jumping and running, verbal experiences like speaking and weeping, and mental experiences like happiness, suffering, joy, and sorrow, one should not regard them as faults, nor should one become arrogant because they are virtues. Whatever arises, one should let it be, relaxed and unconstrained. This is the best among the obstacles-clearing practices, the essence among the instructions, and the king among the introductions. As found in the nectar of the words of the Omniscient Dharma Lord, it was written by Zhangton Gyabo. This text should not be shown to those who have not attained meditation, and these meanings should be kept very secret. May all beings, including my parents, attain the two kāyas through this merit and benefit others. May there be auspiciousness! May it be auspicious!
