The following is a comparison of the major differences between the Twenty Thousand Verse and the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita: In the Twenty Thousand Verse, there are the chapters 'Extensive Explanation of the Bodhisattva's Training' (i.e., the self-commentary chapter), 'Sadāprarudita', 'Dharma-Udgata', and 'Entrustment', which do not appear in the Eight Thousand Verse. Even if there are differences, all of these are not apparent because of their self-luminous nature. In the twenty-eighth chapter, there is one explanation about preventing arrogance, in which there are twenty-four verses, and eight chapters are missing. In the twenty-ninth chapter, four and a half lines are missing. In the thirty-second chapter, three lines or so are missing. In the eighth chapter, five and a half lines are missing. The thirty-eighth chapter is cut off upwards. Between the forty-eighth and about half of the fifty-third chapter, the order of eight chapters is confused twice. In the fifty-third chapter, in the eight chapters, the order of the sutras explaining the three wisdoms seems confused. At the beginning of the sixty-second chapter, one page is missing about two lines, and eight chapters are missing. These mainly show the rough differences between 'Le Mang' and 'Le Gyema'. The part about quiescence should be understood from the treatise called 'Determining the Differences between Le Mang and Le Gyema'.
