The Nail Letter of Trekchö, the Moxibustion of the Essential Point. The Nail Letter of Trekchö, the Moxibustion of the Essential Point. ༈ The Nail Letter of Trekchö, the Moxibustion of the Essential Point, resides. Initially, in the essential point of Trekchö, all external and internal phenomena, the entire container and its contents, are illusory appearances created by the mind. Like the absence of empty forms, like shimmering and hair streaks, like the ten similes of illusion, the appearance of emptiness and union, without any truly established entities, internally or externally, must be decisively severed from within. Likewise, the very nature of the mind, the creator, is empty of the three realms of origin, dwelling, and destination, and of the creator itself. Therefore, it must be decisively severed from within, through thorough examination and familiarization, without being less than that, being free from all characteristics such as shape, form, and color. However, without falling into the extreme of nihilistic emptiness, its own radiance is unimpeded, and the essence of emptiness and appearance are primordially united, the great equality of appearance and emptiness, inseparable. Transcending all characteristics of conceptualization, the wind of fluctuating thoughts subsides in its own place. Without aiming at objects of grasping, being free from all intentional fabrication, the arising of self-luminous, clear, and naked wisdom is precisely what is called the Suchness that abides within oneself, the unerring intention of the primordial Buddha Samantabhadra. Having recognized that, without altering it with intellect or mental calculation from within that state, without straying outwards towards the objects of the six aggregates, without obscuring it with the fluctuating thoughts of grasping and fixation, without intentionally grasping the essence of the inner mind as "this" or "that," without engaging in efforts to negate thoughts by viewing them as faults, without establishing it one-sidedly as appearance, emptiness, quiescence, or enhancement, without striving for the clear light of meditation, the six great nails of essential points instruct one not to waver from the direct experience of one's own ground, the irreversible or decisive cutting at one point, seizing the essential point of meditation. In the post-meditation period, all thoughts that arise are known to be primordially empty in essence, without bonds, and liberated from the beginning, possessing certainty. Or, possessing the certainty of knowing that the nature of appearances is nakedly liberated, established without permanence. And, possessing the certainty of knowing that self-liberation occurs by resting without needing other antidotes for liberation. And, by resting in the state of the single bindu of clear light, awareness, and emptiness, possessing the certainty of knowing that all is liberated, practicing with any of these certainties, the intention of sameness and after is inseparably blended and

One will then abide in immediate liberation. Thus, through the key points of view, meditation, and conduct, the ground of being is realized as it is. One attains one's own place and gains self-confidence, so that the ground itself matures into the result, possessing the irreversible state of the three Buddha bodies.
