Listen well, fortunate son of good lineage! This precious human body of leisure and opportunity, obtained through the cause and effect of past karma and favorable circumstances, whether it is wasted depends on you. 1. The boundary of going up and going down is now. The juncture of desiring definite good and definite bad is this. If you do not practice Dharma now, it is like returning empty-handed from the precious island. 2. The state of perfect enlightenment, if attained, there is no greater person than that. If not attained, remaining as you are is losing the great matter. If you accumulate bad karma without liberation, you are called an old corpse. 3. Therefore, do not postpone Dharma practice. It is uncertain when the Lord of Death, the demon, will come. Regretting at the time of death is too late. Now is the time to strive with what strength you have. 4. The basis of the three trainings is moral discipline. If you do not abandon bad company and bad places, it is difficult to protect. Seeing the suffering of samsara, generate renunciation. If there is no desire for liberation, it is just a good wish. 5. That small-minded person who runs after the promiscuity of others, diligent at first but easily degenerating in the end, their vows are like drawings on stone. Not listening to anyone, rely on solitude. 6. If you do that, meditation will arise on its own. Emptiness, compassion, the union of the two, bodhicitta, will definitely arise in your mind without difficulty. The qualities of the paths and bhumis will increase like the waxing moon. 7. If you cannot stay in solitude, and you are one who accomplishes the benefit of others, in the end it will become the cause of the ruin of your own benefit. One who wanders like a dog in cities and villages, the accomplishment of pure Dharma is as rare as a star in the daytime. 8. Do not be complacent, thinking that you cannot accomplish it because you are not free. What will you do if the Lord of Death suddenly comes? Be kind to yourself. Material possessions and enjoyments are like dew on the tip of a blade of grass. 9. Accumulating, squandering, and increasing blood tax (liquor money), destroying this life and the next, oppressed by the burden of sin, thinking about that, do not be deceived by bad places. The activities of this life are like a butter lamp in a painting. 10. Is it possible that enjoyment will diminish and still be beneficial? Thinking well about the nature of having no end, do not propagate the mistake of procrastination, son of good lineage. Parents and relatives are like people in a dream. 11. Do not be partial, do not have attachment and aversion, son of good lineage. Praise, honor, and fame are like the echo of sound. Do not have joy, sorrow, hope, and fear, son of good lineage. Your own body is like a yak's yoke." } ] ============================================================

Two, holding on to attachment is too much, son of a noble family! All desires are like rainbows in the sky; do not chase after suffering, son of a noble family! The mind of conceptual thought is like a bird on a treetop; Thirteen, it is uncertain when it will fly away, son of a noble family! If you examine it closely, it is like the thread of a rosary; it is impossible to become one, son of a noble family! The nature of multiplicity cannot be identified! Fourteen, if you cling to things, son of a noble family! The five poisons of affliction arise without a basis; look at that nature, son of a noble family! Although you are constantly bound to samsara by clinging; Fifteen, but in meaning there is no bondage or attachment, son of a noble family! The view is as vast as the sky; there is no object of thought or speech, son of a noble family! Meditation is as bright as the sun and moon; Sixteen, there is no rising or setting, no clarity or obscurity, son of a noble family! Conduct should be in accordance with the wishes of others; take and abandon properly, son of a noble family! However, if you follow the natural course of your own nature; Seventeen, there is no doing or not doing, son of a noble family! The fruit is like a good harvest ripening; nature eliminates poverty, son of a noble family! Thus, by the blessing of verbal instruction; Eighteen, may it become a cause of benefit to you as instructed; may the evil poisonous tree be uprooted; may there be auspiciousness in constantly engaging in the Dharma! This is empty talk without real meaning, like a bubble in water, created by the agitation of a very important wind. Rough words without ornamentation or rhyme. Eighteen verses and nineteen incomplete stanzas, thinking the interdependence is very good. The one named Sonam Chodrak (Tibetan: བསོད་ནམས་ཆོས་གྲགས།), in Sanskrit Punyadharmakīrti (Sanskrit Devanagari: पुण्यधर्मकीर्ति, Sanskrit Romanization: Puṇyadharmakīrti, Chinese literal meaning: Merit Dharma Fame), with a very friendly attitude towards followers, not only pure but also altruistic with matching meaning, urged by Gaga Abhya (Tibetan: ག་གཱ་ཨ་བྷྱེས།), written by the author of the text, the great holder of the Vajra, the monk Vagishvari (Tibetan: ཝ་གི་ཤྭ་རི་), may it become a cause for the spontaneous accomplishment of the benefit of oneself and others. Sarva Mangalam (Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्वमङ्गलम्, Sanskrit Romanization: sarva maṅgalaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: All auspiciousness!). Three words of heartfelt advice.
