Oh, do you need advice? Oh, do you need advice? Oh, do you need advice? Thinking about the impermanence of your own life, the inability to escape death, cultivate impermanence, and be sure to generate it in your mind. In this way, no matter where you are reborn in samsara, high or low, you cannot escape the nature of suffering. Therefore, before you have truly generated the desire for liberation or genuine renunciation, not just hearing and understanding the general suffering of samsara and the individual sufferings of the six realms, you must constantly cultivate. Because the cause of suffering is sin, do your best to abandon it. The ultimate happiness, which never changes, is the state of Buddhahood. To attain it, diligently strive to accumulate virtuous roots, both with and without outflows, without laziness or negligence. In particular, establish the foundation with the training of discipline, and tame your mind with the training of samadhi. With these qualities, begin to cultivate, using the view to ascertain that all phenomena that appear as ego, objects, and mind are emptiness. Through cultivation, continuously maintain and nurture the certainty of emptiness. Because conduct becomes a condition for realizing emptiness, constantly spend your days in Dharma practice, exerting effort. In all actions, begin with the preliminary practice of generating bodhicitta, the main practice is without object, and conclude with the pure dedication. In particular, for the lama from whom you have received empowerment, great Dharma kindness, and profound teachings, no matter how they appear, good or bad, because the compassion and blessings of all Buddhas of the three times flow from their lineage. If you have not received Dharma kindness, even choosing the best lama is irrelevant, because you cannot receive blessings by relying on them. Therefore, whichever lama is of great kindness, visualize them on the crown of your head, receive the four empowerments, and merge the lama's mind with your own. In this way, all view, meditation, and action will go on the right path, there will be no obstacles to the Dharma, demons cannot take advantage, it can eliminate diseases, evil spirits, and adverse conditions, it can generate blessings and accomplishments, it can perfect the four empowerments, it can purify broken vows, and it can escape the dangers of straying, falling, and making mistakes. Therefore, be sure to merge the lama's mind with your own and abide in it. At the time of death, may the image of the lama appear, and through merging the lama's mind with your own, realize the merging and transformation, and attain the state of union.
