Aspiration from the Great Destruction Aspiration from the Great Destruction Homage to the Three Jewels! Whether in this world or those that have passed, And the supreme jewels in the heavens, The Thus-Gone One has become the god of gods, Incomparable and supreme among humans. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. Cessation, freedom from attachment, nectar, unconditioned, Revealed by the wise Shakyamuni. The nectar of peace, not made by actions, Nothing whatsoever can compare to that Dharma. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. Perfectly showing what is desired in the best way, Always practicing the unsurpassed yoga of the teacher, Not seen even by diamond-like eyes, There is no samadhi equal to that. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. The eight great persons are greatly praised, Those who are spoken of as four pairs of persons, The great noble ones, persons without equal, The Blissful One said they know the place of giving. If one gives to them, the fruit will greatly increase, Like planting seeds in a very fertile field. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel of the Sangha. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. Those who strive diligently with steadfast minds, Entering into the teachings of Gautama, Having attained that, they attain the entry to nectar, Having dispelled darkness, they attain passing beyond sorrow. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel of the Sangha. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. As soon as one is connected with this view, Immediately the view of the aggregates, ethical discipline, and vows, And doubt and the three defilements, Are abandoned all at once, seeing the truth of the noble ones. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel of the Sangha. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. Whether by body, speech, or even mind, Never committing the three kinds of evil deeds, Even if done suddenly, not concealing it, Thus, they do not grasp at those views. Therefore, this is said to be the supreme jewel of the Sangha. May this truth bring auspiciousness here. Just as the tree of Indra is planted in the ground, And is not moved by the winds of the four directions, The sacred path of the noble ones is likewise.

Just as fire is fiercely scattered by the wind, And cannot be counted when taken in hand, Likewise, the sons of the Buddha, having completely abandoned all attachments, Go forth without being shown. Therefore, the Sangha is said to be the supreme jewel. May there be goodness here through that truth. May all sentient beings, whether moving or unmoving, Be happy here. The supreme teacher, worthy of worship by gods and humans, I pay homage to the Buddha, may there be goodness here today. May all sentient beings, whether moving or unmoving, Be happy here. The peaceful, detached one, worthy of worship by gods and humans, I pay homage to the Dharma, may there be goodness here today. May all sentient beings, whether moving or unmoving, Be happy here. The glory of all the Buddhas, And the glory of the solitary Buddhas, And the power of the Arhats, And all the mantra holders, The wisdom of Shariputra, And the miraculous powers of Maudgalyayana, And the unobstructed eye, And the qualities of Kashyapa's training, And Kaundinya's prior attainment, And Ananda's hearing, And Brahma's love, And Indra's powers, And the realms of the world protectors, And the power of the Great Ishvara, And the power of the commanders, And the glory and miraculous powers of Srogma.
