Homage! By remembering and reciting the name of the noble Avalokiteśvara, may all the poor and afflicted in the worlds of myself and all sentient beings receive benefit and happiness, and may they obtain great power to do so. I prostrate to the venerable Avalokiteśvara, who possesses great compassion! By remembering and reciting the name of the noble Avalokiteśvara, may all the great famines in the world, and the sufferings of many beings caused by disasters such as fire, water, and wind, be pacified and cease to exist. I prostrate to the venerable Avalokiteśvara, who possesses great compassion! By remembering and reciting the name of the noble Avalokiteśvara, may I and all sentient beings, when passing from this world to the next, when the great moment of death approaches, see the face of the noble Avalokiteśvara directly and receive your great blessing. May I and other dying beings be free from the defilements of afflictions, remember the dharma of selflessness, possess immeasurable and steadfast bodhicitta, have an unyielding mind, possess unobstructed courage, have all feelings of suffering pacified, and pass away peacefully in mindfulness. May I be born at the feet of the noble Avalokiteśvara in all lifetimes, and may I remember my past lives and possess a perfect bodhicitta, thereby pleasing the noble Avalokiteśvara and others, and may I possess the power of accomplishment as taught. May the door of great compassion's liberation be spontaneously accomplished, just as it is for Avalokiteśvara, and may it become one with the compassion of all Buddhas. Just as Avalokiteśvara perfectly matures all sentient beings, purifies all Buddha-fields, and perfects all Buddha-dharmas, may I and all sentient beings also perfectly mature all sentient beings, purify all Buddha-fields, and perfect all the dharmas of Buddha-fields.
