In Tibetan: The Noble Sutra for the Complete Pacification of Hemorrhoids. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. Once, the Bhagavan was in Rajagriha, in the grove of Radiant Light, in the garden where the Kalanda birds dwell, together with a great Sangha of five hundred monks. Then, on the fifteenth day, the full moon day of the Uposatha, the Bhagavan sat on a seat prepared before the Sangha. At that time, the venerable Ananda, holding a fan at the corner of the Bhagavan's robe, was fanning the Bhagavan and sitting. Then, the venerable Ananda, baring one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and with palms joined, bowed towards the Bhagavan and said to the Bhagavan: "Venerable One, in this Rajagriha, many monks with hemorrhoids are afflicted by the pain of hemorrhoids, experiencing unbearable suffering, intense discomfort, and unpleasant feelings. Venerable Bhagavan, how should I help them?" After he said this, the Bhagavan said to the venerable Ananda: "Ananda, recite this sutra for curing hemorrhoids. Ananda, whoever knows the name, words, and letters of this sutra for curing hemorrhoids will not be afflicted by the disease of hemorrhoids for as long as they live.
