The Dharani Called "Noble Marici" The Dharani Called "Noble Marici" In Sanskrit: Arya Marici Nama Dharani. In Tibetan: The Dharani Called "Noble Marici". I prostrate to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus I have heard, at one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika's Garden, in the grove of Prince Jeta. He was together with a great Sangha of thirteen hundred and fifty monks, and many Bodhisattvas, great beings. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the monks: Monks, there is a goddess called Marici. She goes before and before the sun and moon. She is invisible, ungraspable, unbindable, unpreventable, unassailable, unbewildering, unpunishable by cutting, un-beheadable, unsubduable, unburnable, and does not fall into the hands of enemies. Monks, whoever knows the name of that goddess Marici, he is also invisible, ungraspable, unbindable, unpreventable, unassailable, unbewildering, unpunishable by cutting, un-beheadable, unsubduable, unburnable, and he will not fall into the hands of enemies. Therefore, since I also know the name of the goddess Marici, may I also become invisible, may I become ungraspable, may I become unbindable, may I become unpreventable, may I become unassailable, may I become unbewildering, may I become unpunishable by cutting, may I become un-beheadable, may I become unsubduable, may I become unburnable, may I not fall into the hands of enemies.
