In Tibetan: The Noble Sūtra on Dependent Arising, Called the Great Vehicle Sūtra. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in the abode of the Thirty-three Gods (Trayastrimsa), on a stone slab like an Āmalaka fruit, together with the great Śrāvakas such as the Venerable Ājñātakauṇḍinya, and the Noble Maitreya, and the Noble Avalokiteśvara and Vajrapāṇi, and other Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas adorned with immeasurable qualities and jewels, and the great Brahmā, the lord of the Sahā world, and the son of Arada, and the great Īśvara, and other gods, and Indra, the lord of the gods, and the Gandharva king Pañcaśikha, and others. Then, the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva Avalokiteśvara rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, placed his right knee on the summit of Mount Meru, and, with his palms joined together, bowed towards the Blessed One and said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, these gods are all desirous of making stūpas, and are present in this assembly. How can the merit of Brahmā increase, and how can the merit of monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen increase greatly from the world together with gods, māras, and Brahmā, and from the beings together with śrāmaṇas and brahmins? Blessed One, please teach the Dharma to them." Then, the Blessed One spoke the verses on dependent arising: Ye dharmā hetuprabhavā hetus teṣāṃ tathāgato hyavadat, teṣāṃ ca yo nirodha evaṃ vādī mahāśramaṇaḥ. 此乃缘起，是如来之法身。谁见缘起，即见如来。观世音自在，无论具信之子或女，于无人之境，造塔如余甘子之果实，命杆如针，伞如柯具罗花，内装缘起性空之偈颂，则能生梵天之福德，从此处死殁，命终之后，将生于梵天世界。世尊如是宣说之后，诸声闻、诸菩萨、一切具足之眷属、以及天、人、阿修罗、乾闼婆等世间皆大欢喜，对世尊所说深信不疑，赞叹不已。《圣缘起经》大乘经圆满。 《圣缘起经》大乘经。

This is the Dharma-kaya of the Tathagatas, namely dependent arising. Whoever sees dependent arising, sees the Tathagata. Noble Avalokiteshvara, any son or daughter of good family who has faith, in a place where no one dwells, makes a stupa the size of an amalaka fruit, a life-tree the size of a needle, and an umbrella the size of a kakkola flower, and places within it the verses on the Dharma-dhatu of dependent arising, will generate the merit of Brahma, and having died and passed away from here, at the time of death, will be born in the world of Brahma. The Bhagavan having spoken thus, those Shravakas, those Bodhisattvas, those retinues complete in every way, and the world with its gods, humans, asuras and gandharvas rejoiced, and highly praised what the Bhagavan had said.
