Homage to the Tathāgata, all-pervading fragrance! Homage to the Tathāgata, endowed with strength that cannot be overcome by others! Homage to the Tathāgata, who completely dispels all obscurations! Homage to the Tathāgata, supreme moon! Homage to the Tathāgata, king of peace! Homage to the Tathāgata, lunar master! Homage to the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, endowed with great compassion, who grants fearlessness! Tadyathā. Dhare dhare, dhāre dhāraṇi, ratna koṭe, abhaya kalbe, kalbeni, gaṇe ananta kalbe, amṛta kalbe, hutāśare, ananta mukhe, ananta cakṣusa mudgate, oṃ bhā svāhā. Son of good family, these secret mantras of the dhāraṇī, for the sake of sentient beings who go to the lower realms, have been spoken, blessed, and rejoiced in by as many Buddhas, Bhagavat, as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River. Son of good family, whichever Bodhisattva holds this dhāraṇī, he will be completely liberated from the eight fears, namely, from the endless fear of hell beings, the endless fear of the birth place of animals, the endless fear of the realm of Yama, the endless fear of pretas, the endless fear of difficult paths, the endless fear of birth, the endless fear of disease, and the endless fear of death. The Buddhas, Bhagavat, of the ten directions will remember him. He will die without mental distraction and will be born in the presence of the Buddhas.
