Verses of Auspiciousness. Verses of Auspiciousness. In Sanskrit: Svasti Gatha. In Tibetan: Verses of Auspiciousness. Homage to the Three Jewels! A certain deity approached, and the deity asked the Buddha: O great Shakyamuni Buddha, what should one say to be auspicious? Having heard these words, the Buddha taught the root of the world: You should always recite what I say about auspiciousness. Whether in this world, other worlds, or in heaven, whatever vast and supreme treasures there are, they cannot compare to the preciousness of the fully enlightened Buddha. The fully enlightened Buddha is incomparable, extremely rare, and inconceivable, the most supreme jewel in the world. Just as what I say is true, may there be the utmost auspiciousness through this truth! Extinction, cessation, nectar, which is extremely excellent, Shakyamuni Buddha realized the state of equal bliss. There is no dharma that can compare to it; if one has committed evil deeds before, there will be no suffering in the future. The sacred Dharma is incomparable, extremely rare, and inconceivable, the most supreme jewel in the world. Just as what I say is true, may there be the utmost auspiciousness through this truth! The eight noble persons spoken of by the Victorious One, they are the four pairs of individuals. These objects of offering are very rare in the world; if one gives to them, one will gain immeasurable merit. The Sangha is incomparable, extremely rare, and inconceivable, the most supreme jewel in the world. Just as what I say is true, may there be the utmost auspiciousness through this truth! The supreme teacher is the great benefactor, the incomparable light, the abode of heroes and saints. Supreme wisdom is the supreme of saints, the only Bhagavan who knows the supreme and the non-supreme. The fully enlightened Buddha is incomparable, extremely rare, and inconceivable, the most supreme jewel in the world. Just as what I say is true, may there be the utmost auspiciousness through this truth! The supreme samadhi is uninterrupted, spoken of by the Tathagata who possesses boundless wisdom. That samadhi is as stable as a vajra; there is no samadhi equal to that samadhi. Samadhi is incomparable, extremely rare, and inconceivable, the most supreme jewel in the world. Na, before the supreme truth! By this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! Just as a door is tightly closed and a fence is firm, the powerful four winds cannot move it. Likewise, wise individuals who abide in seeing the Four Noble Truths cannot be swayed here by worldly speakers. Wonderful, extremely marvelous, immeasurable, the Sangha, what is the jewel, is the most supreme in the world. As what I say is the supreme truth, by this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! Subduing all, all-knowing, seeing all. All-knowing, endowed with all powers. The most supreme of all, free from all fears. Knowing all thoughts, this is the one Bhagavan. Wonderful, extremely marvelous, immeasurable, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, is the jewel, is the most supreme in the world. As what I say is the supreme truth, by this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! Cessation of existence, unmoving, without change. Without fault, completely liberated from all fears. Extremely ceased, rich, coolness arises. Extremely stainless, peaceful, not stolen by conceptual thoughts. Wonderful, extremely marvelous, immeasurable, the jewel of the sacred Dharma, is the most supreme in the world. As what I say is the supreme truth, by this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! Extremely teaching suffering, giving happiness. Seeing the truths, those who possess mindfulness. Those who are without doubt in the precious truths. They will not take rebirth after the eighth existence. Wonderful, extremely marvelous, immeasurable, the Sangha, what is the jewel, is the most supreme in the world. As what I say is the supreme truth, by this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! The noble ones know the ultimate meaning of the noble ones. Knowing what is supreme and not supreme, striving for the ultimate meaning. Not stolen by others, the noble ones understand and realize. Is the most supreme refuge for those who are extremely suffering. Wonderful, extremely marvelous, immeasurable, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, is the jewel, is the most supreme in the world. As what I say is the supreme truth, by this truth, may there be extreme happiness and auspiciousness! Generating intention, possessing yoga, constantly striving in Gautama's teachings, well liberated. Those who are not led by others, touch peace.
