Vajrapani, therefore, for the sake of easily accomplishing this Vajra family and this extensive ritual of the supreme vidya, whoever hears your eight names together with the secret mantra wheel, even if they have committed the five inexpiable sins, their sins will be purified, and they will also be able to see you, Vajrapani, and all obstacles and evil spirits will be scattered, and eighty-four hundred thousand kotis of evil spirits will flee in all directions. Thus he requested. World-Honored One, what are my eight names, along with the wheel of secret mantras? The World-Honored One replied: Vajrapani, listen to what I will say. It is like this: You have elephant ears. You possess excellent ornaments. You are the one who subdues. You are the source of jewels. You are the truth itself. You possess the adornment of a beautiful form. You possess blazing flames. You are beautiful in form. If wise people hear these names of yours, beings will not be reborn in hell for seven hundred trillion kalpas. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will be present before that person at the time of their death, and they will teach the Dharma to them. Because of teaching the Dharma, that person will be reborn among the gods of Tushita, dwelling together with the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. After reciting, I will praise you, and after rejoicing, please grant me accomplishments. Obstacles will not arise, and the gods will also rejoice and quickly grant accomplishments. If recited when sleeping, one will not see bad dreams. If recited a hundred thousand times in front of a stupa containing relics, one will be liberated from all sins.
