Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus I have heard, at one time, the Bhagavan was dwelling in Sukhavati. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Noble Avalokiteśvara went to where the Bhagavan was, and having arrived, bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, circumambulated the Bhagavan three times, and sat down on one side. Then, the Bhagavan looked at the Great Glorious Woman and spoke thus to the Noble Avalokiteśvara: These twelve names of the Great Glorious Woman, whether it be a bhikshu, or a bhikshuni, or an upasaka, or an upasika, or anyone else who is not these, whoever knows, whoever holds, whoever recites, whoever asks, whoever causes to ask, that person will abandon poverty and become rich. Then, all the hosts of bhutas together prayed, saying: So be it. Then, the Bhagavan spoke the twelve names of the Great Glorious Woman as follows: Glorious Woman, Auspicious Mother, Garland of Lotuses, Mistress of Wealth, White Mother, Great Fame, Lotus Eyes, Great Light, Mother of Action, Giver of Food, Bestower of Jewels, Great Glorious Woman. Syada Yathe Dam. Jini. Ghrini. Sarva Artha Sadhani. Shashini. Alakshmi Ni. Me Nashaya. Siddhyantu Me Mantra Padah Svaha. Abhrkut Paramasubhage Svaha. It should be recited three times, and whoever recites it at three times, all unfavorable aspects of that person will be destroyed. One will become endowed with good fortune, and wealth will become inexhaustible. When going to meet someone, if one recites it before meeting, that person will develop a thought of you like a son, will be happy, and will do as you instruct. If one recites it constantly without interruption, even if Brahma and Brahmins perform violent actions, they will not be able to stop it, and it will also become like making offerings to many Buddhas.
