May all beings in all worlds gain great power to benefit and bring happiness to all who are poor and afflicted. I prostrate to the noble Avalokiteśvara, who is endowed with great compassion. By remembering and reciting the name of the noble Lord of Compassion, may all the great famines in the world, and the sufferings of many beings caused by calamities such as fire, water, and wind, be pacified and eliminated. I prostrate to the noble Avalokiteśvara, who is endowed with great compassion. By remembering and reciting the name of the noble Lord of Compassion, when I and any sentient beings face the great fear of passing from this world to the next, may we see the face of the noble Lord of Compassion directly and receive your great blessing. May I and other beings who are passing away not be tainted by afflictions, remember the Dharma of selflessness, have immeasurable and stable bodhicitta, be without fear, possess unobstructed courage, have all feelings of suffering pacified, and pass away with mindfulness present. May we be born at the feet of the noble Avalokiteśvara in all lifetimes, possess the remembrance of past lives and a complete bodhicitta, thereby pleasing the noble Lord of Compassion and others, and may we possess the power of accomplishment as taught. May the gate of liberation of great compassion be spontaneously accomplished like that of the Lord of Compassion, and may it become one with the compassion of all Buddhas. Just as the Lord of Compassion perfectly matures all sentient beings, purifies all Buddha-fields, and perfects all Buddha-dharmas, may I and all sentient beings also perfectly mature all sentient beings, purify all Buddha-fields, and perfect all the dharmas of the Buddha-fields.
