The Ritual of Accomplishing All Activities Through the Vajra Lasso The Ritual of Accomplishing All Activities Through the Vajra Lasso Thereafter, if a Vidyadhara wishes to accomplish the Vajra Lasso, he should twist together tree bark, cotton thread, and Kashmiri silk thread, making it about twenty-one cubits in length. He should make a vajra of four finger-widths from white sandalwood, with five prongs, bound with the heads of beings and a serpent's girdle, and adorned with a garland of the net of the Naga kings Nanda and Upananda, and then place it on the lasso. Then, the Vidyadhara should wear clean clothes. He should bathe well. He should anoint himself with the five products of the cow. Having spread a grass mat, he should press the lasso with his right hand in front of the image, and recite the heart essence of the Amogapasha a hundred thousand times. He should recite the heart essence of the Wrathful King a thousand times. Then, the lasso will blaze up, and holding it, he will fly into the sky. All of the Vajra family, the Tathagata family, the Ratna family, and the Padma family will appear before him. Like Vajrapani, he will have form, power, and diligence, and will not be overcome by the power of others. Like Vajrapani, he will become the lord of Vidyadharas. He will live for twenty thousand divine years. All activities can be accomplished. The Vajra Lasso, the lasso that destroys all enemies, whether thrown upwards or downwards, can bind and summon everything as desired. Throwing it in the ten directions and reciting the Wrathful King, whether it be a man, a woman, or anything else, all can be bound by the lasso and quickly summoned, without hesitation. If it be a deva, a naga, a yaksha, a rakshasa, a gandharva, an asura, a garuda, a kinnara, a kumbhanda, or a mahodaraga, all can be bound by the lasso and quickly summoned, without hesitation. Recite the Wrathful King twenty-one times over the lasso. On the fourteenth night of the butter moon, at midnight, throw the lasso in the four directions. By merely looking, one will be liberated from all evil spirits. Recite the king of wrathful deities one hundred and eight times on the lasso, and if you take the lasso in your hand and enter the charnel ground, you will become invisible and open the doors of all places. When you arrive at the door of a cave, strike it with the vajra lasso, and the doors of all the caves will be opened, and all the wheels and seals will be broken into pieces. Evil paths, evil people, non-humans, evil waters, snakes, malicious breaths, parasitic creatures, and all creatures belonging to malice will no longer exist. How can an upright person and an upright path enter like their own dwelling, temple, or house, accomplish all that is needed, and then return from that place again?
