་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །བདག་བས་མཐའ་ཞིག་ན་ཆོས་ཡིད་ལ་བགྱིད་ཅིང་མཆིས་པ་ལས། ཡི་དགས་ཁ་ནས་མེ་འབར་བ་ཞེས་བགྱི་བ་དེ་བདག་ལ་འདི་སྐད་མཆིའོ། །ཁྱོད་ད་སྟེ་ཞག་བདུན་ན་ངེས་པར་ཚེའི་དུས་བྱས་ཏེ་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཁམས་སུ་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་མཆིའོ། །བདག་གིས་དེ་ལ་ཐབས་ཅི་བགྱིས་ན་ཡི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དེ་ལས་ཡོངས་སུ་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་དྲིས་ན། དེས་བདག་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་ལ་གཏོར་མ་བྱིན་ཏེ། བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་དྲང་སྲོང་ལ་སོགས་པ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་ལ་ཞལ་ཟས་མཆོག་དམ་པ་ཕུལ་ན་ཚེ་རིང་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་མཆི་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་བདག་གིས་ཇི་ལྟ་བུར་ཡི་དགས་དང་དྲང་སྲོང་ལ་སོགས་པ་དེ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་ཁ་ཟས་འབྱོར་པར་འགྱུར། དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགའ་བོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ཁྱོད་འཇིགས་པར་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་དང་། བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་དྲང་སྲོང་ལ་སོགས་པ་ལ་ཁ་ཟས་དང་། གཏོར་མ་མང་པོ་འབྱོར་པའི་ཐབས་ང་ལ་ཡོད་ཀྱིས་ཡིད་བློང་བར་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགའ་བོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ང་ལ་གཟུངས་སྔགས་གཟི་བརྗིད་ཚད་མེད་པའི་དབང་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་འོད་ཟེར་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཤུགས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཡོད་དེ། གང་ཞིག་གིས་གཟུངས་འདི་བརྗོད་ན་ཡི་དགས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་དང་། བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་དྲང་སྲོང་ལ་སོགས་ཏེ་མང་པོའི་ཁ་ཟས་དང་གཏོར་མ་མཆོག་དམ་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། དེ་དག་ལ་སོགས་པ་གཅིག་ཀྱང་ཁ་ཟས་ཡུལ་དབུས་འགྱུར་ཚལ་གྱི་བྲེ་ཚད་མས་བཅལ་བའི་བྲེ་བདུན་བདུན་སྙེད་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དགའ་བོ་ང་ཡང་བྲམ་ཟེར་གྱུར་པ་ན་བྱང་ ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་དང་། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དབང་སྒྱུར་ཡོན་ཏན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལས་གཟུངས་འདི་ཐོས་པས་ན། དེའི་དབང་གིས་ཡི་དགས་ཚད་མེད་པ་སྙེད་དང་། དྲང་སྲོང་མང་པོ་ལ་ཁ་ཟས་དང་། གཏོར་མ་བྱིན་བྱིན་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཁམས་སུ་སྐྱེས་པ་དེ་དག་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལས་རྣམ་པར་གྲོལ་ནས་མཐོ་རིས་ཀྱི་ལྷར་སྐྱེས་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །དགའ་བོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་གཟུངས་འདི་ཟུང་ཤིག །བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཚེའི་ཚད་ཀྱང་འཕེལ་ཞིང་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགའ་བོ་ལ་གཟུངས་སྔགས་འདི་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །ན་མཿསརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཨ་བ་ལོ་ཀི་ཏེ། ཨོཾ་སཾ་བྷ་ར་སཾ་བྷ་ར་ཧཱུཾ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགའ་བོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་གང་ལ་ལ་ཞིག་ཚེ་རིང་བར་འདོད་དམ་བསོད་ནམས་ཆེ་ཞིང་འཕེལ་བ་དང་། སྦྱིན་པའི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་མྱུར་དུ་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པར་བྱ་བར་འདོད་ན་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་སྔ་དྲོའི་དུས་སམ། ཡང་ན་དུས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་བྱས་ཀྱང་བར་ཆད་དུ་འགྱུར་བ་མེད་དོ། །སྣོད་གཙང་མའི་ནང་དུ་ཆུ་གཙང་མ་བླུགས་ལ། ཆན་ནམ། ཕྱེའམ། ཁུར་བ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཆུང་ཟད་ཅིག་བཏབ་སྟེ། ལག་པ་གཡས་པ་སྣོད་ཀྱི་སྟེང་དུ་བཞག་ལ་གཟུངས་འདི་ལན་བདུན་བསྔགས་ནས། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བཞིའི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་པར་བྱའོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རིན་ཆེན་མང་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རིན་ཆེན་མང་གི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་པའི་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སྐྱེ་བ་མང་པོའི་སེར་སྣ་བྱས་པའི་མི་དགེ་བའི་ལས་བཅོམ་ཞིང་བསོད་ནམས་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་གཟུགས་དམ་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་གཟུགས་དམ་པའི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་པའི་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་མང་པོ་བྱད་གཟུགས་མི་སྡུག་པ་བཅོམ་ཞིང་གཟུགས་དང་མཚན་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་སྐུ་འབྱམ་ཀླས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །དེ་བཞིན་ གཤེགས་པ་སྐུ་འབྱམ་ཀླས་ཀྱི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་པའི་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་མང་པོའི་སྐོམ་པ་སྤངས་ཤིང་ཚིམ་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། སྦྱིན་པའི་གནས་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་ཟ་བ་དང་ཆོག་ཅིང་འགྲངས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་འཇིགས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་འཇིགས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བའི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་པའི་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་མང་པོའི་འཇིགས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་བྲལ་ཏེ། ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཁམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཞི་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགའ་བོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ལ་སོགས་པས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བཞིའི་མཚན་ནས་བརྗོད་དེ། བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་པའི་འོག་ཏུ་སེ་གོལ་ལན་གསུམ་བྱས་ཏེ། གཏོར་མའི་སྣོད་བླངས་ནས་ལག་པ་བརྐྱང་སྟེ། ས་གཙང་མར་བླུག་པར་བྱའོ། །དེ་ལྟར་གཏོར་མ་སྦྱིན་པར་བྱས་ན་ཕྱོགས་བཞི་ནས་ལྷགས་པའི་ཡི་དགས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་སོ་སོ་ནས་ཡུལ་དབུས་འགྱུར་ཚལ་གྱི་བྲེ་ཚད་མས་བཅལ་བའི་བྲེ་བདུན་བདུན་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །ཁ་ཟས་དེ་དག་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱིས་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་ཟ་བ་དང་། ཆོག་འགྲངས་པ་དང་། ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཁམས་སྤངས་པ་དང་། མཐོ་རིས་ཀྱི་ལྷར་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དགའ་བོ་

It said to me: 'If you give food offerings to as many pretas as there are sands in the Ganges River, and offer the most excellent food to hundreds and thousands of Brahmins and sages, you will prolong your life.' Blessed One, how can I obtain so much food to offer to so many pretas and sages? Then, the Blessed One said to Ananda: 'Do not be afraid, I have a way for you to obtain enough food and offerings to offer to as many pretas as there are sands in the Ganges River, Brahmins, and sages, do not be discouraged.' Then, the Blessed One said to Ananda: 'I have a dharani mantra called "The Power of Radiating Light of Immeasurable Glory," which possesses the power of immeasurable glory. If someone recites this dharani, it will transform into the most excellent food and offerings for as many pretas as there are sands in the Ganges River, Brahmins, and sages. Each of them will receive the equivalent of seven measures of food, measured by the measuring device used in the central region. Ananda, when I was also a Brahmin, I heard this dharani from the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and the Tathagata Power and Virtue. By the power of this dharani, I gave food and offerings to countless pretas and many sages. Those beings who were reborn in the realm of pretas were liberated from suffering and were reborn as gods in the heavens. Ananda, memorize this dharani, and your merit and lifespan will increase. Homage to the Tathagata Abundant Treasures. By the blessing of reciting the name of the Tathagata Abundant Treasures, it destroys the non-virtuous deeds of stinginess committed by all hungry ghosts in many lifetimes, and perfects merit. Homage to the Tathagata Excellent Form. By the blessing of reciting the name of the Tathagata Excellent Form, it destroys the ugly forms of many hungry ghosts, and perfects form and marks. Homage to the Tathagata Vast Body. By the blessing of reciting the name of the Tathagata Vast Body, it quenches the thirst of many hungry ghosts and makes them satisfied, and they can freely eat and be content and full with the offerings. Homage to the Tathagata Fearless. By the blessing of reciting the name of the Tathagata Fearless, it frees many hungry ghosts from all fears, and pacifies all the realms of hungry ghosts. The Blessed One said to Ananda: "After the son of good family, etc., recites the names of the four Tathagatas, after the blessing, strike the bell three times, take the container of torma, extend the hand, and pour it on clean ground. If the torma is given in this way, each of the hungry ghosts who come from the four directions, as numerous as hundreds of thousands of trillions of grains of sand in the Ganges River, will receive seven measures of food measured by the measure of the central region (ancient Magadha). These foods will be eaten by the hungry ghosts as they wish, they will be content and full, they will abandon the realm of hungry ghosts, and they will be born as gods in the heavens. Ananda."
