The Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Vajrapani: Vajrapani, whoever holds this dharani mantra, and recites it, that person will not die from poison or weapons, nor will they die from starvation, nor will they be struck by weapons, nor will they be devoured by fierce wild animals, nor will they be burned by fire, nor will they die by drowning, nor will they contract other terrible infectious diseases, nor will they contract leprosy, nor will they contract incurable terrible diseases, nor will they fall off a cliff, nor will they be cursed by others, nor will they die from food blockage, nor will they commit suicide, nor will they die from those thirteen evil habits. Vajrapani, whoever holds this dharani mantra, and recites it, then the arrogant and fierce spirits residing on the earth and in the sky will not be able to find an opportunity. Vajrapani, whoever holds this dharani mantra, and recites it, then all karmic obscurations, afflictive obscurations, and obscurations of knowledge will be purified and cleansed, and they will be reborn in the world of Sukhavati.
