O sons of good family, if sentient beings dwell in the Avīci hell, remain for a kalpa, commit the five heinous crimes, and abandon the holy Dharma, for the sake of those sentient beings, if these words of the dhāraṇī are recited for twenty-one days, three times during the day and three times during the night, then, at that time, by the power of these words of the dhāraṇī, the great hell Avīci will be split into hundreds of pieces, and those sentient beings will also be completely liberated.
