Glorious King of Tantras of the King of Wisdom. Glorious King of Tantras of the King of Wisdom. In Sanskrit: Śrī Jñānarājatantra Rāja. In Tibetan: Glorious King of Tantras of the King of Wisdom. Homage to glorious great bliss! How wonderful, Buddha! How wonderful, Buddha! How wonderful, the deeds of the Buddha are excellent! Because all sentient beings Should attain nirvana, Having perfected faith and diligence, One should follow the lama. In self-awareness, which is non-dual, One is confused by grasping other-awareness as dual. In that which is primordially unborn and unestablished, One is confused by grasping birth and establishment. In phenomena that have become equal in taste, One is confused by grasping inferiority and superiority. Knowing samsara completely, In what is called nirvana, One is confused by conceptualizing buddhas and sentient beings. In that which is spontaneously accomplished, One is confused by arising from causes and conditions. In that which is devoid of signs and terms, One is confused by making it an object of the mind. In that which abides in the middle way, free from extremes, One is confused by grasping permanence and annihilation. In that which transcends the realm of knowing and speaking, One is confused by grasping self and what belongs to self. Phenomena, characteristics, and so forth, In that which is empty of all conceptual thoughts, One is confused by grasping after phenomena. In self, which is non-dual, One is confused by grasping two truths. Taming various beings to be tamed, In the higher and lower of many vehicles, One is confused by imputing and slandering. Sentient beings, with various confusions, In karmic ripenings and so forth, One is confused by slandering with views. Self-awareness, primordially clear light, Body color, hand symbols, and so forth, One is confused by desiring to be Vajradhara. Confusion and the basis of confusion, Desire, great desire, The basis of confusion, having transcended confusion, Great desire, Blessed One. Anger, great anger, Likewise, anger, Blessed One. Ignorance, great ignorance, Likewise, ignorance, Blessed One. By this, one will surely be liberated, Abandoning this, one is not liberated by another. Lord, deity, and lama brothers, Lord, merely a joint yoga. A general collection of vehicles, other than that, The body of a person, parts and eight. Those are the cause for attaining self-awareness, Therefore, primarily protect the samaya. The distinction of the fruit, self-awareness arises. How wonderful, protector!

O Blessed One! Since the classification of desire is such, what is its essence like? Are hatred and so on similar to it? Vajra-hearted, great compassionate one, listen well and keep it in mind. Not knowing the cause and effect of karma and its ripening is ignorance. Completely disturbing body and mind is hatred, arising completely through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, reaching the end of the jewel, the seed that arises is desire. From where is the nature of power, etc., known? Desire and so on are definitely great. Where does the nature of self-awareness reside? It is the antidote to abandoning the lower. In essence, knowing what is illusion, it is the method of gathering the sense faculties. Becoming the cause of the arising of the higher, therefore it also becomes great, for the benefit of others, and other inclinations change from that, many are unwilling to abandon, general afflictions cannot be suppressed, individual desires, hatred, etc., cannot suppress the lower, no discriminations arise, general afflictions and individual abandonment, it is certain to be the antidote, afflictions do not arise even as much as a hair tip, the two are the same as above, the twelve great desires, are what the Blessed One said, hatred and so on are also like that. Without realizing the profound view and practice, one engages in mantra practice, recitation, etc., those are all futile efforts. Those should seek the supreme instructions from the supreme lama, and take the ritual that awakens from delusion and the cause of delusion. At that time, one rejoices in the meaning of the tantra and rejoices accordingly. The King of Tantras called Glorious Wisdom King is complete. Translated by the Indian Abbot Gayadhara and the translator Bhikshu Shakya Yeshe. The King of the Tantra of the Glorious Wisdom King.
