At that time, a householder's wife gave birth to a son. When the boy was born, seven kinds of jewels fell from the sky like rain, filling the entire house. Then, they summoned a fortune-teller to examine the boy's signs. The fortune-teller said to the householder, "This boy's signs are extremely good." The householder was very pleased and requested the fortune-teller to name the boy, and asked what omens had occurred at the time of the boy's birth. The householder said, "When this boy was born, seven kinds of jewels fell from the sky like rain, filling the entire house." The fortune-teller named him based on his merit, and the boy was named Jewel of the Gods. Later, he grew up and became very learned and knowledgeable, and his skills were unparalleled. He had faith in renunciation, so he bowed to his parents and went to where the Buddha was. Upon arriving, he bowed his head at the Buddha's feet and said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, I wish to renounce." The Blessed One granted him permission, saying, "Welcome, Bhikshu." His hair and beard fell off on their own, and he wore the Dharma robes on his body. The Blessed One taught him the Dharma, and he became an Arhat. Ananda asked the Blessed One, "Blessed One, what merit did this Bhikshu Jewel of the Gods perform in the past, that at the time of his birth, jewels rained down from the sky, and he was provided with clothing and food, and lived a prosperous life?" The Buddha told Ananda, "In the past, a Buddha named Golden Light appeared in the world, and he benefited sentient beings in the world immeasurably. 虽然生起了（善）心，但因为没有任何受用和供养的物品，就用一把白色海螺制成的宝物撒向僧众，并立下了宏大的誓愿。世尊对阿难说：‘那时，那个时候，用一把宝物撒向僧众的贫穷之人，就是比丘天宝。’过去的时候，仅仅凭借清净的发心和信心，用一把白色海螺的宝物撒向僧众，就在九十一劫中获得了无量的福德，拥有众多的珍宝，衣食自然丰足，受用永远不会匮乏。那时，仅仅凭借清净的发心和信心，我（佛）在世间涅槃，相遇并获得了果位。’那时，众多的眷属们 听到佛陀所说，生起了清净的发心和信心，有些人获得了从初果到四果的果位，有些人发起了安住于不退转之地的菩提心。所有那些众多的眷属，都对世尊所说的话语感到欢喜和信服。名为《天宝品》第十品结束。 第十品，《天宝品》。

Although the (good) intention arose, because there were no possessions or offerings, he scattered a handful of treasures made of white conch shells to the Sangha and made great vows. The Blessed One said to Ananda, 'At that time, the poor man who scattered a handful of treasures to the Sangha was the monk Deva Jewel.' In the past, just by scattering a handful of treasures made of white conch shells to the Sangha with pure intention and faith, he accumulated immeasurable merit for ninety-one kalpas, possessing many precious jewels, abundant food and clothing, and never lacking in enjoyment. At that time, just by pure intention and faith, I (the Buddha) attained Nirvana in the world, met and attained the fruit.' At that time, many of the retinue Having heard what the Buddha said, they generated pure intention and faith. Some attained the fruits from the first to the fourth fruit, and some generated the Bodhicitta of abiding in the irreversible stage.
