第九品，天花之章。 第九品，天花之章。 如是我闻。一时，薄伽梵在舍卫城，胜林给孤独园。与一千三百五十比丘众在一起。那时，那个地方有一个富裕且地位显赫的家族，其妻生了一个儿子，相貌端正，令人喜爱，美好，俊美。刚出生，就从天空像下雨一样降下天界的鲜花，充满了整个房间，因此给孩子取名为天花。 那个孩子后来长大后，去了佛陀所在的地方。他看到佛陀的身色、相好和无与伦比的美好，生起了极大的欢喜，心想：我生于此世，竟能与圣者之主相遇，我应当迎请佛陀和圣者的比丘僧团。想到这里，他对佛陀这样说道：世尊，请您和圣者僧团一起，明天光临我的寒舍，接受微薄的供养。佛陀知道他心意纯净，便答应了他的请求。之后，天花回到家中。第二天，佛陀和僧团也来到了他的家中。天花在天界的楼阁中变幻出许多珍贵的坐垫，用装饰品点缀。请佛陀和僧团依次在坐垫上就座后，天花心想需要各种各样的食物。由于他的福德，如他所想的那样，食物应有尽有。于是，他对佛陀和僧团进行了供养。 佛陀接过钵，为天花广说了许多佛法。天花家中的所有人都获得了入流果。之后，天花向父母请求出家，并成为佛陀的侍者。父母也同意了他的请求。那个孩子去了佛陀所在的地方，用头顶礼佛陀的足。

Chapter Nine, The Chapter of Divine Flowers. Chapter Nine, The Chapter of Divine Flowers. Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Park. He was together with a sangha of thirteen hundred and fifty monks. At that time, in that country, the wife of a wealthy and high-ranking householder gave birth to a son. He was well-formed, pleasing to look at, good, and beautiful. As soon as he was born, divine flowers rained down from the sky like rain, filling the entire house. Therefore, the boy was named Divine Flower. Later, when the boy grew up, he went to where the Buddha was. When he saw the Buddha's complexion, marks, and unparalleled beauty, he was filled with great joy and thought to himself: 'I was born in this world and have met the chief of the noble ones. I should invite the Buddha and the noble sangha of monks.' Thinking this, he said to the Buddha: 'Blessed One, please, together with the noble sangha, accept a humble meal at my home tomorrow.' Knowing that his intention was pure, the Buddha granted his request. Then, Divine Flower returned home. The next day, the Buddha and the sangha also went to his home. Divine Flower conjured up many precious cushions inside the divine mansion, adorned with ornaments. After inviting the Buddha and the sangha to sit on the cushions in order, Divine Flower thought that he needed various kinds of food. Due to his merit, the food appeared as he had thought. Then, he made offerings to the Buddha and the sangha. The Buddha took the bowl and extensively taught the Dharma to Divine Flower. All the people in Divine Flower's house attained the fruit of entering the stream. Afterward, Divine Flower asked his parents for permission to renounce and become an attendant of the Buddha. His parents also granted his request. The boy went to where the Buddha was and bowed his head at the Buddha's feet.

祈请于佛陀的教法中出家！世尊也说道：“比丘，善来！”头发和胡须自然脱落，穿上袈裟后，依照佛陀的教诲精进修行，成为了阿罗汉。之后，阿难陀见到此情景，便前往佛陀所在之处，到达后双膝跪地，向世尊禀告道：“这位名为天花的比丘，过去做了什么善业，以至于天花自然降落，珍宝的座垫和各种美食如意化现？请世尊开示。”世尊告诉阿难陀：“如果想听，就好好听着。过去，有一位名为金寂佛的佛陀降世，广利有情。当时，许多僧众前往村庄化缘，一些出身高贵富裕的施主供养了他们。当时，有一个贫穷的人一无所有，但他对僧众生起了极大的欢喜心。他心想：‘我无论如何也无法供养啊！’于是，他从草地和绿洲中采摘了各种各样的鲜花，撒向僧众，并以清净的心擦拭地面后离开了。世尊告诉阿难陀：‘当时，那位贫穷的人用鲜花供养的人，就是这位名为天花的比丘。’如此，在过去的时候，以清净的信心收集鲜花，撒向僧众并祈愿，在九十一劫中，无论转生到何处，都相貌端庄美好，令人赏心悦目，并且如意获得食物、饮料、床榻等，以其善业获得果报。因此，阿难陀，所有众生都不要因为布施微小而轻视，认为没有功德。如同天花一样，一切都会圆满成就。’之后，阿难陀和众多眷属对世尊的教诲心生欢喜，无比欣悦。天花品第九（终）。 第九，天。

I beseech to be ordained in the Buddha's teachings! The Blessed One also said, "O Bhikshu, welcome!" His hair and beard naturally fell off, and after wearing the monastic robes, he diligently practiced according to the Buddha's teachings and became an Arhat. After that, Ananda, seeing this situation, went to where the Buddha was. Upon arriving, he knelt on the ground and reported to the Blessed One, saying, "This Bhikshu named Divine Flower, what meritorious deeds did he perform in the past, such that divine flowers naturally fall, and precious cushions and various delicacies manifest as desired? Please, Blessed One, explain." The Blessed One told Ananda, "If you wish to hear, listen carefully. In the past, there was a Buddha named Golden Stillness who descended into the world and extensively benefited sentient beings. At that time, many Sangha members went to villages for alms, and some noble and wealthy patrons made offerings to them. At that time, there was a poor person who had nothing, but he developed great joy towards the Sangha. He thought, 'I have no way to make offerings!' So, he gathered various kinds of flowers from the meadows and oases, scattered them on the Sangha, and with a pure heart, swept the ground and left. The Blessed One told Ananda, 'At that time, the poor person who offered flowers was this Bhikshu named Divine Flower.' Thus, in the past, with pure faith, he collected flowers, scattered them on the Sangha, and made aspirations. For ninety-one kalpas, wherever he was reborn, he had a beautiful and pleasing appearance, was pleasing to behold, and obtained food, drink, beds, and so on as desired. Through that merit, he obtained the fruition. Therefore, Ananda, all sentient beings should not despise small acts of generosity, thinking that there is no merit. Like the divine flower, everything will be completely accomplished.' After that, Ananda and the many attendants rejoiced in the teachings of the Blessed One and were exceedingly delighted.
