དགེ་སློང་རབ་ཏུ་གཅེས་པའི་མདོ། དགེ་སློང་རབ་ཏུ་གཅེས་པའི་མདོ། 印度语:Bhikṣuprarajusūtranāma(भिक्षुप्ररेजुसूत्रनाम,bhikshu prareju sutra nama,比丘正直经名)。

The Sutra of Great Affection for Monks. The Sutra of Great Affection for Monks. In Sanskrit: Bhikṣuprarajusūtranāma (भिक्षुप्ररेजुसूत्रनाम, bhikshu prareju sutra nama, The Straight Sutra of the Monk's Vow). (Named the Sutra of Great Affection for Monks). Homage to the All-Knowing One. Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was dwelling in the great city of Shravasti, in the monastery called Padma Gyepa (Great Lotus). He was together with a sangha of thirteen thousand five hundred monks. Then, at that time, in that assembly of the Blessed One, there was one called the Noble Near Round (ཉེ་བར་འཁོར), who was subdued in his senses, possessed of great learning, profound in wisdom, and who especially admired and highly esteemed the Dharma and Vinaya well-spoken by the Blessed One. He rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, pressed it to the ground, joined his palms together at his heart, and with a gentle smile, addressed the Blessed One, saying: From the mire of samsara, like a lotus arising, The protector, like a mountain, with an unshakeable form. Adorned with auspicious marks, beautiful with the flowers of signs, Never tiring to behold, the most excellent one, I prostrate to you. For us gathered here, Who abide solely as monks, the monk's Essence, divisions, etymology, and purpose, These four, please, O Mighty One, speak. Then, the Blessed One, the Sugata, greatly pleased, Looked upon Near Round and spoke thus: Listen well, son Near Round. I will speak for the sake of gladdening your mind, And for the benefit of all monks. A monk is the banner of the Dharma. A monk is the vajra life-force. A monk is one who has abandoned suffering. A monk is a son of the Victorious One. A monk is one who has severed the life of afflictions. A monk is one who goes to the garden of liberation. A monk is one whose own essence is tamed. The two hundred and fifty, including the four root vows, The purpose is pure morality. The divisions are the nominal monk, The one who merely holds the signs, and the true monk. The etymology is for the sake of complete exhaustion, And for begging for virtue and begging for food, Abiding in peace and entering the path, Living well and abandoning attachment, Depen

Therefore, now it is a Bhikshu. A so-called Bhikshu is an adornment, Having abandoned adornments, adorn well with adornments. Having abandoned attachment, enjoy with great attachment. Anointing, bathing, and eating, Ornaments, clothes, and colors, Horses, elephants, carts, and so on, Also ride the supreme vehicle. Possessing these riches is a Bhikshu, Not possessing these is not a Bhikshu. Then the attendant Ananda, To the Bhagavan, thus he spoke: "Could it be that the Sugata, Spoke words difficult to understand?" May the Sugata, Illuminate the darkness of words with the, Lamp of words. The Bhagavan spoke: "Gold and so on are worldly adornments, Having completely abandoned them, adorn with the, Supreme adornment of compassion. Not worldly, of the training, The clothes worn are the best and excellent clothes. Not of camphor and so on, Anoint with the supreme ointment of morality. Not white, red, and so on, The color of faith is completely beautiful. Not worldly, of diligence, The supreme vehicle is the best of speed. Meditation and Dharma practice are the supreme food, With tsampa, it possesses the supreme taste. The palace of the Sangha, Fully enjoy on the cushion of peace. Possessing these and not turning back, That is the true Bhikshu. Possessing the three main ones and the five attendants, The sage possesses the bowl and the staff, Body, speech, and mind are completely tamed, One's own conduct shows asceticism. That is also the true Bhikshu. Those two approach the city of liberation, Drawing near to the supreme bliss of liberation. The other one, not true, With the bowl and so on burning brightly, In hell, like boiling water, Torment for four thousand kalpas. For some, morality is bliss, For some, morality is the cause of suffering. Having morality is the best of bliss, Corrupted morality is suffering. Whatever morality is very well, Having tamed, that person is a beautiful form. For taming, dwell closely, Trust in one's own moral training. That person, even in one day, Accumulates immeasurable heaps of merit, Sowing and producing the fruit of Buddhahood. Deceiving oneself, Not dwelling in the training, Holding the banner of the Sugata, Merely relying on appearance, I am a Bhikshu.

It is said to be. Like putting a nose ring on a mad bull, Or like a pregnant woman drinking sour porridge. That person, even for a single day, Will create countless seeds of sin, And all kinds of harm to oneself, It will only become like this. If someone does not abide by the precepts, But holds the banner of the Sugata, It is better to be a householder in form, For a moment of not abiding by the precepts. A person who does not abide by the precepts but holds the signs, Will not become the beloved Of all the people in the world, But a container of evil words for everyone. Just as on a good tree, Poisonous branches grow for a long time, If that person is only a sign for a long time, Unpleasant talk will increase, And it is said that sinful deeds will increase. This discipline is the best of happiness, This discipline is the path to liberation, This discipline is the field of merit, This discipline is the cause of Buddhahood, This discipline is the most excellent. Protect it like the apple of your eye. Even if life comes, the discipline is, Giving up is an unwise fool. Life is cut off, It will be born in the next life, The discipline is not like that in the next life. Therefore, the attendants, etc., Should firmly hold this precept. Thus spoke the Bhagavan, and the monks, including the attendants, greatly rejoiced at the words spoken by the Bhagavan. The Sutra of the Great Love for Monks is complete.
