第二，娑罗自在王品。 第二，娑罗自在王品。 彼时，世尊告月光童子曰：童子，我忆念往昔行菩萨行时，曾为转轮圣王。欲求此三摩地，且速证无上正等菩提，故于此鹫峰山，于无数百千万亿劫中，我以一切珍宝、花、香、涂香、鬘、膏、粉、伞、幢、幡、铙钹、鼓、胜幡，以及无数百千万亿种种庄严之宝殿，供养、恭敬、尊重、赞叹、瞻仰、礼拜、祈请无量无数之如来、应供、正等觉者。童子，我从彼诸如来处，广闻、受持、请问、读诵、精勤修习、广为他人宣说诸法自性平等性离戏论三摩地。童子，彼诸如来中最后之如来、应供、正等觉者，名曰娑罗自在王。童子，彼娑罗自在王如来有百千万亿那由他声闻及菩萨之僧伽。彼等之寿命为七十六百千俱胝年。童子，我于彼如来、应供、正等觉者娑罗自在王处，以天妙栴檀及俱胝宝殿，供养承事十四千亿年。世尊，彼如来、应供、正等觉者娑罗自在王之寿命为七十六百千俱胝年。

Chapter 2: The King of the Sal Tree's Power Chapter 2: The King of the Sal Tree's Power At that time, the Blessed One addressed the youth Moonbeam, saying: "Youth, I remember that in the past, when I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, I became a Wheel-Turning King. Desiring this samadhi and wishing to quickly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, I honored, revered, respected, praised, gazed upon, worshipped, and entreated countless, immeasurable Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly and completely awakened Buddhas on this very Vulture Peak Mountain for countless billions of hundreds of thousands of myriads of eons, with all kinds of jewels, flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, ointments, powders, umbrellas, banners, streamers, cymbals, drums, victory banners, and hundreds of thousands of myriads of various kinds of beautifully adorned jeweled temples. Youth, from all those Tathagatas, I extensively heard, grasped, questioned, retained, recited, thoroughly expounded, meditated with undefiled meditation, increased, and also extensively and correctly revealed to others this samadhi of the equality of the nature of all dharmas, free from elaboration. Youth, the last of all those Tathagatas was a Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly and completely awakened Buddha named the King of the Sal Tree's Power. Youth, that Tathagata, the King of the Sal Tree's Power, had a sangha of hundreds of thousands of myriads of listeners and Bodhisattvas. The lifespan of those beings was seventy-six hundred thousand kotis of years. Youth, I made offerings and served that Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly and completely awakened Buddha, the King of the Sal Tree's Power, for fourteen thousand billions of years with divine sandalwood and a billion jeweled temples. Blessed One, the lifespan of that Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly and completely awakened Buddha, the King of the Sal Tree's Power, was seventy-six hundred thousand kotis of years.

彼。薄伽梵如来应供正等觉娑罗树王（Sāla rājādhirāja）尊前，我出家后一十四俱胝年中，听闻、受持、请问、执持、读诵、精勤修习无有烦恼之禅定，此乃诸法自性平等性离戏三摩地，广行修习，并为他人广为开示。其后，薄伽梵又对月光童子说：童子，因此，若欲求此三摩地，速证无上正等菩提，汝亦应如我一般，精勤供养、承事、侍奉一切如来。童子，何以故？菩萨摩诃萨以供养、承事、侍奉一切如来之因缘和合，尚且难以获得无上正等菩提，何况此三摩地？童子，因此，汝应恒常不厌倦地供养、承事、侍奉一切如来。其后，薄伽梵于彼时，为月光童子广以偈颂讲述此过去生之传记：忆念十力六十俱胝尊， 往昔鹫峰山上曾安住， 我昔行持菩提行之时， 曾说寂静殊胜此禅定。 彼等之中最后一位， 世间怙主名为光耀者， 名为娑罗树王之胜者， 我曾于彼处请问此义。 我亦成为刹帝利种姓， 亦是国王土地之主宰， 我之子嗣亦有五百位， 彼等之中亦生不少人。 彼佛之殊胜之殿堂， 以及各种旃檀之妙香， 亦有以各种珍宝堆砌， 我曾造作俱胝之数量。 众多生灵欢喜心生悦， 名为怖畏上师为国王， 对于佛陀殊胜之供养， 我于俱胝十四年中作。 引导众生之娑罗

Then, before the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, the King of the Sala Trees (Sāla rājādhirāja), I, having become a renunciate, for fourteen billion years, listened to, held, inquired about, grasped, recited, thoroughly expounded, and meditated with meditation free from afflictions on this samadhi, the equality of the nature of all dharmas, the differentiation of reality, extensively practiced it, and also extensively and correctly revealed it to others. Then again, the Blessed One spoke to the youth Moonbeam: "Youth, therefore, if you desire this samadhi and wish to quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, you should also, like me, diligently offer, attend to, and serve all the Tathagatas. Youth, why is that? Because Bodhisattvas, great beings, with the cause and condition of offering, attending to, and serving all the Tathagatas, even the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is not easy to obtain, what to say of this samadhi? Youth, therefore, you should always, without weariness, offer, attend to, and serve all the Tathagatas." Then, at that time, the Blessed One extensively and correctly revealed to the youth Moonbeam this account of past lives in verse: "Sixty billion lords of the ten powers of mindfulness, In the past, resided on Vulture Peak Mountain. When I practiced the conduct of enlightenment in the past, I spoke of this supreme samadhi of peace. Among those, the very last one, The protector of the world, the one who makes light, Named the King of the Sala Trees, I completely inquired of him. I also became of the royal lineage, A king, the chief lord of the earth, I also had five hundred sons, From them, not a few were born. The temple of that Buddha, And various special sandalwoods, Some also piled up with precious jewels, I made billions of them. 拉伊当波嘉！双足之尊胜者无与伦比，彼时彼之寿命，为七十六万年。声闻眷属八十俱胝，具足三明六通，根 पूर्ण，漏尽且持最后之身，彼时人中殊胜之僧团出现。为利益天人世间，彼时我欲得此三摩地，故于双足之尊胜者前，我作众多供养，于胜者萨拉伊当嘉之前，我为王妃并与子一同出家。十四俱胝年中，此三摩地我亦已请问，八十俱胝千颂，以及其他俱胝百千颂，此三摩地之一个章节，我从善逝处获得。为欲得此殊胜三摩地，头及手足，妻子以及儿子，众多珍宝以及食物等，往昔我未曾吝惜丝毫。诸佛之数量，如所有海洋之沙粒般众多。所有头颅有多少，所有头颅上亦有多少舌头。彼等一切若讲述此三摩地，执持此颂之利益，亦不能完全述说，何况学习和受持者呢？谁能执持此难以观看之寂静三摩地，修习之功德，获得并修行，天与非天、夜叉皆羡慕彼，国王们亦随后追随。谁能执持此寂静难得之三摩地，将被诸佛完全摄受，天与龙等恒常随之，他方之敌亦无法忍受彼之光芒。谁能执持此寂静三摩地，彼之勇气将是无边无际的，纵然经部广说空性，然于彼亦永不中断。何者于大恐怖之后世，听闻并执持此三摩地者，将能得见导师无量光佛，以及极乐世界。如是广说此等利益后，于我完全寂灭之后世，三摩地之相

Lai Wangpo Gya! The supreme of bipeds, the unsurpassed Victorious One, at that time, his lifespan was seventy-six hundred thousand years. The Shravaka assembly numbered eighty crore, possessing the three knowledges, six supernormal powers, complete faculties, exhaustion of defilements, and holding the final body. At that time, the excellent Sangha of humans appeared. For the benefit of gods and humans in the world, at that time, desiring this Samadhi, I made many offerings to those supreme bipeds, the Victorious Ones. In the presence of the Victorious One, Salai Wang Gya, I became a queen, renouncing with my son. For fourteen crore years, I also inquired about this Samadhi. Eighty crore thousand verses, and also a hundred crore other verses, this single chapter of this Samadhi, I obtained from the Sugata. Desiring this sacred Samadhi, heads and limbs, wives and sons, many jewels and also food, in the past, I never withheld even a little. The number of Buddhas is as many as the grains of sand in all the oceans. As many heads as there are, there are also as many tongues on all the heads. If all of them were to speak about this Samadhi, the benefits of holding this verse, it would still not be completely described, what to say of those who learn and hold it? Whoever holds this difficult to see, peaceful Samadhi, the merits of practice, obtaining and practicing, gods and non-gods, Yakshas all envy them, and kings also follow after them. Whoever holds this peaceful, difficult to find Samadhi, will be completely embraced by the Victorious Ones. Gods and Nagas always follow after them, and the enemies of others cannot bear their splendor. Whoever holds this peaceful Samadhi, their courage will be limitless. Even though the Sutras extensively teach emptiness, the lineage will never be interrupted for them. Those who, in the future age of great terror, hear and hold this Samadhi, will see the guide Buddha Amitabha, and also the Sukhavati pure land.
