He was together with a great sangha of Bodhisattvas, equal to the number of the fine dust particles of ten billion trillion inexpressible Buddhafields. At that time, in that very gathering of the mandala of Bodhisattvas, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named King of Inconceivable Light was assembled and present. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva King of Inconceivable Light, through the power of the Buddha, arose from his seat. He spoke to the entire assembly of Bodhisattvas: "O sons of the Victorious Ones, one kalpa of the Sahā world is one day and night in the Buddhafield of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Amitabha, the world of Sukhavati. At the time of death, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, from the infinite Buddha-fields of the ten directions will be present before him, and he will remember his births until he attains the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.
