戴上之后，那些饰品刚一戴到菩萨身上，就被菩萨身体的光芒所笼罩，变得黯淡无光。不鲜亮，不耀眼，不闪亮。比如，如果在瞻波迦河的金子上放一块墨色的布，它就不会鲜亮，不会耀眼，不会闪亮。同样，那些饰品被菩萨身体的光芒照耀时，也不会鲜亮，不会耀眼，不会闪亮。同样，无论什么样的饰品戴在菩萨身上，都会变得黯淡无光。比如，就像在瞻波迦河的金子上放一块墨色的布一样。当时，名叫无垢的欢喜园林女神显现出巨大的身体，站在前面，用偈颂对净饭王和释迦族人说道： “三千世界此土地，城镇乡村皆遍布， 若以黄金满覆盖，无垢庄严极美丽， 瞻波迦河金屑微，亦能使其光芒失， 其他黄金皆失色，光彩黯淡不复明。 此地若以金覆盖，尽是瞻洲之黄金， 导师光华毛孔耀，亦能压倒胜彼光， 隐没不显不庄严，光芒亦皆暗淡失， 如来救护尊者前，犹如墨色之布匹。 功德百般所庄严，自身光辉而焕发， 无需饰品作点缀，清净无垢之身躯。 日月星辰宝珠光，梵天帝释之光芒， 威严炽盛彼等前，亦皆隐没而不显。 何者之身往昔善，果报所成妙相具， 于彼何需他人造，庸俗饰品作庄严？ 卸下饰品莫强求，智者所为非明智， 智慧超群此圣者，无需人为之装饰。 希求之心与国土，王子一同而诞生， 无垢无比极庄严，饰品还于彼等民。 释迦种族将广大，成为至上之种族。” 释迦族人心中欢喜，感到惊奇。女神说完这些话后，用天上的鲜花向菩萨撒去，随即隐没不见。饰品品第九。

Similarly, those ornaments, when touched by the light of the Bodhisattva's body, will not be bright, will not be dazzling, will not be radiant. Similarly, whatever kind of ornaments were put on the Bodhisattva's body, they became dim and dull. For example, it is like putting a piece of black cloth on Jāmbū River gold. At that time, the goddess of the pleasure garden named Immaculate, who was present there, manifested a large body and stood in front, speaking in verses to King Śuddhodana and the assembly of the Śākyas: "This three-thousandfold world, with all its cities and towns, Even if it were filled with gold, immaculate and beautiful, A single speck of Jāmbū River gold would eclipse it, Other golds would lose their splendor and become unclear. Even if this entire earth were covered with Jāmbūdvīpa gold, The splendor of the Guide, with light emanating from his pores, would overpower it. Invisible, unclear, unbeautiful, its light would also diminish, In the presence of the Sugata Protector, it would be like a piece of black cloth. He who is filled with hundreds of qualities is adorned by his own radiance, He is not beautified by ornaments, his body is utterly immaculate. The light of the sun and moon, stars, jewels, and fire, Even the light of Indra and Brahmā would be obscured before his mighty presence. He whose body is adorned with the fruits of past virtue, What need does he have for ordinary ornaments made by others? Remove the ornaments, do not force them, it is unwise to do so, This supreme intellect does not desire artificial ornaments. His aspiration was born together with the kingdom and the prince, Return those immaculate and exceedingly beautiful ornaments to the people." The Śākyas thought, "The Śākya lineage will become vast and supreme," and they were delighted, pleased, and amazed. After the goddess spoke these words, she scattered divine flowers upon the Bodhisattva and immediately disappeared. This is the ninth chapter, on ornaments. Nine.
