ཟླ་བའི་མདོ། ཟླ་བའི་མདོ། རྒྱ་གར་སྐད་དུ། ཙན་དྲ་སཱུ་ཏྲ། བོད་སྐད་དུ། ཟླ་བའི་མདོ། འཕགས་པ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་གུས་པས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །འདི་སྐད་བདག་གིས་ཐོས་པ་དུས་གཅིག་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཉན་ཡོད་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཚལ་མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན་གྱི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་ན་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་དེའི་ཚེ་ལྷའི་བུ་ཟླ་བ། ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་གྱིས་བཟུང་ནས། དེ་ནས་ལྷའི་བུ་ཟླ་བས་བཅོམ་ ལྡན་འདས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ་ཡིད་ལ་བྱས་ཏེ། དེའི་དུས་སུ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་འདི་གསོལ་ཏོ། །སངས་རྒྱས་དཔའ་བོ་དེ་ལ་འདུད། །ཐམས་ཅད་མྱུར་དུ་གྲོལ་བར་གྱིས། །བདག་འདིའི་ཁ་རུ་བཅུག་པས་ན། །བདག་ནི་ཁྱེད་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ལྷའི་བུ་ཟླ་བའི་ཆེད་དུ་ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་ལ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། སངས་རྒྱས་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལ་བརྩེ་བས། །དགྲ་བཅོམ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ལ། །ཟླ་བ་སྐྱབས་སུ་སོང་བས་ན། །སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་གྱིས་ཟླ་བ་ཐོང། །དེ་ནས་ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་གྱིས། ལྷའི་བུ་ཟླ་བ་གྲོལ་བར་བྱས་ནས། སྔར་གྱི་གཟུགས་བཞིན་དུ་གང་སུ་ཞིག་གིས་ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་ཐགས་བཟངས་རིས་ཀྱི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་ཞིང་སོང་ནས། སེམས་མི་དགའ་ཞིང་ཡི་མུག་པས་བ་སྤུ་ལངས་པར་གྱུར་པས་ཕྱོགས་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་གོ། །ཕྱོགས་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་ནས་ཡང་ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་ལ། ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་དབང་པོ་ཐགས་བཟངས་རིས་ཀྱིས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་སྨྲས་པ། ཅི་ཕྱིར་ཡིད་ནི་སྐྲག་པར་གྱུར། །སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་གྱིས་ཟླ་བ་ཐོང། །གཟུགས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་འགྱུར་ཀུན་ཏུ་ངན། །ཅི་ཕྱིར་འཇིགས་པས་འདི་རུ་ལྷགས། །སྒྲ་གཅན་འཛིན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཚིགས་བཅད་ཐོས་ནས་ནི། །ཟླ་བ་བདག་གིས་མ་བཏང་ན། །མགོ་བོ་ཚལ་པ་བདུན་འགས་ཤིང། །འཚོ་བ་ལ་ནི་བདེ་བ་མེད། །ཟླ་བའི་མདོ་རྫོགས་སྷོ། ། ཟླ་བའི་མདོ།

月亮经。 月亮经。 印度语：旃扎苏扎。藏语：月亮经。 顶礼尊敬的圣三宝。 如是我闻，一时，世尊住在舍卫城祇陀林给孤独园。 当时，天子月亮被阿修罗王罗睺罗抓住。 于是，天子月亮忆念世尊，心中想着，当时说了这偈颂： 礼敬佛陀大雄！ 愿迅速解脱一切。 我被放入此口中， 我向您寻求庇护。 于是，世尊为了天子月亮，对阿修罗王罗睺罗说了偈颂： 佛陀慈爱世间， 阿罗汉如来， 月亮已皈依， 罗睺罗释放月亮！ 于是，阿修罗王罗睺罗释放了天子月亮，恢复了原来的样子。然后，他前往阿修罗王毗摩质多罗处，心情不悦，沮丧，毛发竖立，独自坐在一旁。 独自坐着时，阿修罗王毗摩质多罗对阿修罗王罗睺罗说了偈颂： 为何心生恐惧？ 罗睺罗释放了月亮！ 身体的姿态非常糟糕， 为何因恐惧来到此处？ 罗睺罗说： 听到佛陀的偈颂后， 如果我不释放月亮， 头颅将裂为七瓣， 生活将无安宁。 月亮经圆满。

The Moon Sutra. The Moon Sutra. In Sanskrit: Chandra Sutra. In Tibetan: The Moon Sutra. Homage to the noble Three Jewels. Thus I have heard, at one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Park in Shravasti. Then, at that time, the son of the gods, Chandra (Moon), was seized by Rahu, the lord of the Asuras. Then, the son of the gods, Chandra, remembering the Blessed One, thinking in his mind, at that time spoke this verse: Homage to the Buddha, the hero! May all be quickly liberated. Since I have been put into this mouth, I go to you for refuge. Then, for the sake of the son of the gods, Chandra, the Blessed One spoke this verse to Rahu, the lord of the Asuras: The Buddha has compassion for the world, The Arhat, the Tathagata, Since Chandra has gone for refuge, Rahu, release Chandra! Then, Rahu, the lord of the Asuras, released the son of the gods, Chandra, and restored him to his former appearance. Then, he went to Vimalacitra, the lord of the Asuras, and having gone, displeased and dejected, with his hair standing on end, he sat down to one side. Sitting to one side, Vimalacitra, the lord of the Asuras, spoke this verse to Rahu, the lord of the Asuras: Why has your mind become frightened? Rahu, release Chandra! The appearance of your body is very bad, Why have you come here in fear? Rahu said: Having heard the Buddha's verse, If I had not released Chandra, My head would have split into seven pieces, And there would be no peace in life. The Moon Sutra is complete. The Moon Sutra.
