Sixty-eighth, the Chapter on Increase. Sixty-eighth, the Chapter on Increase. Likewise, it should also be applied to the practice of patience paramita, diligence paramita, and meditation paramita. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, from the moment of first generating the mind up to the mental activities endowed with the knowledge of all aspects, they cultivate wisdom. They will not be obscured by the mind of desire, nor by the mind of a Hearer or Solitary Realizer. Why is that? Subhuti, in this way, they know that all phenomena are empty of their own nature, and they see that all phenomena are unborn, unaccomplished, and unmanifest. They enter into the dharma-nature of all phenomena, and because they enter into the nature of all phenomena that is without action and without manifestation, that one endowed with skillful means will increase through virtuous roots. When they increase through virtuous roots, they practice the Perfection of Wisdom. When they practice the Perfection of Wisdom, they also bring sentient beings to maturity, and they also purify the Buddha-fields. They do not desire the fruit of wisdom, which is to enjoy the fruit of wisdom in samsara; rather, they practice the Perfection of Wisdom for the sake of completely protecting and liberating all sentient beings. From the eighty thousand Perfection of Wisdom, this is called the Chapter on Increase, the sixty-eighth.
