Explaining the Seven Methods for Pacifying Disputes. Explaining the Seven Methods for Pacifying Disputes. Now, I shall speak of the methods for pacifying disputes. In summary: Presence, mindfulness, and, non-delusion discipline and its nature, seeking many faults and taking vows, and scattering grass as well. To those who come to be disciplined by presence, grant discipline by presence. To those who should be disciplined by mindfulness, grant discipline by mindfulness. To those who should be disciplined by non-delusion, grant discipline by non-delusion. To those who should be made to seek their own nature, grant making them seek their own nature. To those who should seek many faults, grant seeking many faults. To those who should take vows, grant taking vows. To those who should be like scattering grass, grant being like scattering grass. With these seven methods for pacifying disputes, those who have disputes should be tamed, pacified, and taught to be completely pacified, according to the Dharma, the Vinaya, and the teachings of the Teacher. The Seven Methods for Pacifying Disputes are complete. From the Bhikshuni Vinaya Vibhanga, the Seven Methods for Pacifying Disputes are complete. Eight defeats, twenty sanghadisesas, and, likewise, thirty-three nissaggiya pacittiyas, and, furthermore, one hundred and eighty pacittiyas, and, eleven patidesaniyas, are the additional garland of precepts. The peaceful one, in harmony with the father bhikshu. Patience, asceticism, supreme patience is, nirvana is supreme, thus spoke the Buddha. Ordination is not for harming others, nor for injuring others, it is not for a renunciate. If the sighted have the power to oppress others, so too are the fearful. In this world where the wise live, one should completely abandon sins. Do not slander, do not harm, also guard the Pratimoksha. Also know the measure of food. Dwell in a remote place. Apply yourself correctly to higher mind. This is the Buddha's teaching. Just as a bee from a flower, without harming its color or scent, sucks the nectar and flies away, so should the capable one wander in the village. One should examine one's own lineage and non-lineage, not the disharmony of others, nor what others have done or not done. Be mindful of higher mind.

That is, to train in the bases of the able of the able, to be peaceful and always mindful, the protector is without sorrow. Giving increases merit greatly, and if well restrained, enemies etc. will not change. Possessing virtue, abandon evil, and with the exhaustion of afflictions, transcend sorrow. Do not commit any evil deeds, accomplish perfect virtue, and completely subdue your own mind. This is the teaching of the Buddha. The discipline of the body is good, the discipline of speech is good, the discipline of the mind is also good, discipline is good in all places, and a monk who is well restrained in everything is completely liberated from all suffering. Guard your speech and subdue your mind well, and do not commit any non-virtuous deeds with your body. If you cultivate these three paths of action well, you will attain the path spoken by the sages. Buddha Vipashyin, the crown protects all, Kalpa complete, Krakucchanda Buddha, golden able Kashyapa Buddha, and Shakya able Gautama, the god of gods, the unsurpassed tamer of beings, the protector of the world, the supreme savior, the seven heroic Buddhas. The Pratimoksha of the famous ones, this is extensively proclaimed. In this, all the Buddhas and the Buddha's Shravakas are also respectful. By being respectful to this, may you attain the unconditioned. One should begin and strive, one should enter the Buddha's teachings. Like an elephant destroying a bamboo house, one should destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever is very mindful and practices this Dharma and Vinaya will abandon the cycle of birth and will put an end to suffering. The Bhikshuni's Vinaya Differentiation, complete with the Pratimoksha Sutra. Translated by the Kashmiri Abbot Sarvajna Deva, Dharma Kara, and the Indian Abbot Vidyakara Prabha, and the translator Bandita Pelgyi Lhunpo.
