འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསྟོད་པ། འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསྟོད་པ། 印度语：比奈耶·毗崩伽。 藏语：འདུལ་བ་རྣམ་པར་འབྱེད་པ།（音译：堆巴南巴尔杰巴，调伏论分别）。第一卷。顶礼三宝！ 调伏之王生于王族，调伏弟子，善能调伏罪过者，顶礼佛陀调伏之主，略述调伏之赞。 未见彼岸，未曾彻悟深处，此地幽暗之处，树根似海，我无有赞颂一切功德之才智。犹如树根于此地最为重要，是增长和持守二者的基础。同样，殊胜之法，一切僧众之，因和根本，是调伏，如是说。 犹如大地是众生之基础，如是从中生长出谷物一般，同样，调伏也是守护戒律者之基础，如是，从中也生出福德。视戒律为一切功德之处，其处所是调伏，如是说。安住于此，则能究竟，不居于此，如何能究竟？犹如坚不可摧的水坝，即便大河也能阻挡，同样，殊胜的调伏之坝，能阻挡戒律败坏之洪流。 诸佛和自生佛，以及所证菩提，能仁之清净弟子，有情阿罗汉具功德者，对此，其因也是调伏，如是说。乃至此世间，一切胜者之，殊胜宝藏圆满调伏存在之时，乃至此法灯亦将存在，若颠倒，则将获得寂灭。 佛不住世，世间偈颂和，经部支分，以及彼等行持，若无学处，调伏亦将不存，因此，胜者清净之法甚为稀有。不离之意马铁钩，此即是，所调未调之缰绳即是此。犹如篱笆边的陷阱，是诸漏之水坝，即是调伏。胜者导师之教典，经和论是也，调伏乃，导师和教典之真实，因此，应如礼敬佛法一般，礼敬二者。诸佛所依而住者。

Just as the roots of trees are most important here, they are the basis for both growth and preservation. Similarly, the supreme Dharma, of all the Sangha, the cause and root is discipline, so it is said. Just as the earth is the basis of all beings, and from it grains grow, so too, discipline is the basis of those who strive to keep vows, and from it, merit also arises. Consider morality as the place of all virtues, its place is discipline, so it is said. If one abides in this, one will attain the end. If one does not abide in this, how can one attain the end? Just as an unbreakable dam can withstand even a great river, so too, this noble dam of discipline can withstand the flood of moral corruption. The Buddhas and Pratyekabuddhas, as well as the enlightenment they attained, the pure disciples of the Able One, sentient beings, Arhats, and those endowed with virtues, for them, the cause is also discipline, so it is said. As long as in this world, the supreme treasure of all the victors, the complete discipline, remains, so long will this lamp of Dharma remain. If it is reversed, then liberation will be attained. When the Buddha does not reside, the verses of the world, and the branches of the Sutras, and those practices, if there is no training, then discipline will also not exist. Therefore, this pure Dharma of the Victorious One is very rare. The iron hook that does not leave the mind-horse, this is it. The reins of the untamed are this. Like a pit at the edge of a fence, it is the dam of all outflows, which is discipline. Whatever teachings of the victorious teacher, the Sutras and Abhidharma are, discipline is, the true teacher and teaching, therefore, one should pay homage to both as one pays homage to the Buddha and Dharma. Just as cutting down a bamboo grove damages a mango grove, Here, some people, even if they say harsh words of the king, After death, they will not be able to receive punishment many times. If the words of the Able One are recited improperly, One will be reborn as an animal, like a worm on an artemisia leaf. What is individual liberation? It is the great snow sea of the Buddha's taming, It is the heart and essence of all that is boundless, Abiding. This is the king of the true Dharma, The supreme guide of all Dharma classes. This is the great trading house of the pure Bhikshu Sangha, The merchandise of learning. This is the medicine for those who are stained by broken vows, Eliminating evil deeds. This is for the confused youth of youth, The iron hook of the two-legged youth. This is from the cycle of rebirth deeper than the sea, The raft of liberation, This is the bridge of the definite canal, Leading to the good realms. This is the path to overcome afflictions, The supreme guide of the king. This is to enter the city of liberation, Existing like the foundation of a ladder. I said, after I have attained Nirvana, This is your teacher. The self-born one, with reverence, Diligently praised before the assembly of monks. Because it is understood that this taming is the individual liberation, The separate explanation, Therefore, those who seek liberation should be respectful, Diligently listen to this Dharma.
