分别忏悔之四法宣说 分别忏悔之四法宣说 总摄偈：城镇与他家，自身以及诸学，僧园佛所说，应行分别忏。 具寿诸位，此等四种应分别忏悔之法，乃于半月半月诵出别解脱经时出现。 复次，若有比丘于非亲眷之比丘尼，处大道中，为乞食故行至城镇，取食物，以己手乞得而食，彼比丘应往外僧园，告诸比丘曰：具寿诸位，我等有应受呵责之不应理处，应行分别忏悔，此法应行分别忏悔，此法是应分别忏悔者。 复次，众多比丘应邀至诸家食时，若有比丘尼如是吩咐：予此食物，予此米饭，予此豆粉，予此饮料，又复如是吩咐，诸比丘应告彼比丘尼曰：姊妹，汝且稍待至诸比丘食讫。若有一比丘亦不能如是语彼比丘尼，彼等诸比丘应往外僧园，告诸比丘曰：具寿诸位，我等有应受呵责之不应理处，应行分别忏悔，此法应行分别忏悔，此法亦是应分别忏悔者。 诸学众所摄持之家，复有比丘前往诸学众所摄持，为僧伽所禁制之家，未经邀约而往，以己手取食物而食，彼比丘应往外僧园，告诸比丘曰：具寿诸位，我等有应受呵责之不应理处，应行分别忏悔，此法应行分别忏悔，此法亦是应分别忏悔者。 僧伽之住处

Explanation of the Four Things to Be Individually Confessed Explanation of the Four Things to Be Individually Confessed Summary Verse: Towns and other houses, oneself and the learners, monasteries, as the Buddha said, should be individually confessed. O venerable ones, these four things to be individually confessed arise from reciting the Pratimoksha Sutra every half month. Furthermore, if a monk is with a non-relative nun on a main road, and goes to a town for alms, and takes food, and eats what he has begged with his own hand, that monk should go to an external monastery and say to the monks: "O venerable ones, I have committed an inappropriate act that deserves reproach, which should be individually confessed. This is a matter to be individually confessed, this is something to be individually confessed." Furthermore, when many monks are invited to eat at houses, if a nun instructs: "Give food to this one, give rice to this one, give bean flour to this one, give drink to this one," and continues to instruct in this way, the monks should say to that nun: "Sister, please wait until the monks have finished eating." If even one monk is unable to say this to the nun, all those monks should go to an external monastery and say to the monks: "O venerable ones, we have committed an inappropriate act that deserves reproach, which should be individually confessed. This is a matter to be individually confessed, this is also something to be individually confessed." A house held by learners, and also a monk who goes to a house held by learners, which is restricted by the Sangha's precepts, without being invited beforehand, and takes food with his own hand and eats it, that monk should go to an external monastery and say to the monks: "O venerable ones, I have committed an inappropriate act that deserves reproach, which should be individually confessed. Regarding those monasteries that are known to be suspicious, monasteries that are known to be fearful, and monasteries that are frightening due to various fears. Furthermore, if a monk, in a monastery that is a dwelling place of the Sangha, those monasteries that are known to be suspicious, monasteries that are known to be fearful, and monasteries that are frightening due to various fears, without having previously wandered in such places, settles down outside the monastery, and after taking food, is about to dress or eat, then that monk should go outside the monastery and say to the monks: 'Venerable ones, I have committed an offense that is not appropriate to be blamed, and that should be individually confessed.' He should individually confess, saying: 'I confess that offense.' This Dharma is also to be individually confessed. 'Venerable ones, I have finished reciting these four offenses that are to be individually confessed.' Then, I should ask the venerable ones: 'Are you clear about this?' He should ask twice, three times: 'Are you clear about this?' If the venerable ones are clear about this, then it is like this, because no one speaks, it is assumed that they have acquiesced. The four Dharmas to be individually confessed are explained.
