The section of the Great God. The section of the Great God. King, great king, also, listen to what I have done in giving alms and making merit for the sake of seeking the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and correct enlightenment. King, great king, in the past, in the country of Mithila, there was a wheel-turning king named Great God King, who was victorious in the four directions, possessed the Dharma, was a king of Dharma, and possessed the seven precious things. His seven precious things were like this: namely, the precious wheel, the precious elephant, the precious horse, the precious jewel, the precious woman, the precious householder, and the seventh was the precious minister. He had brave and courageous sons, endowed with excellent limbs and features, who could subdue enemy armies, and he had a thousand sons. His rule extended over the vast land up to the ocean, without harm, without hatred, without injury, without punishment, without pursuit by weapons, and he governed with Dharma and justice, dwelling in peace. Then, when the barber of King Great God was cutting his hair and trimming his beard, he said to the barber: 'Hey, inner minister, whenever you see a white hair, the messenger of death, growing on my head, tell me.' The barber replied: 'As you command.' The barber listened to King Great God's instructions. At another time, when the barber was cutting King Great God's hair and trimming his beard, he saw a white hair, the messenger of death, growing on King Great God's head. Having seen it, the barber said to King Great God: 'Your Majesty, be aware! A white hair, the messenger of death, has grown on your head.' 'Hey, inner minister, therefore, pluck those white hairs one by one, slowly and gently, and place them in my hand.' The barber replied: 'As you command.' The barber listened to King Great God's instructions, and with golden tweezers, he plucked those gray hairs one by one, slowly and gently, and placed them in the hand of King Great God. Then, King Great God stretched out those gray hairs with both hands, broke them segment by segment, and said: From my head, the hair of the brain, what is born that steals youth is,

The messenger of death has come, and the time for me to renounce has arrived. I have enjoyed the desires of men, and now it is time to seek the desires of the gods. I will let the youngest son rule the power of the kingdom, and I will practice brahmacharya like a king. Then, the great god king summoned the youngest prince and spoke these words: Young man, know! The messenger of death, white hair, has grown from my head. I have enjoyed the desires of men, and now it is time to seek the desires of the gods. Son, young man, I entrust this vast land that reaches the ocean to you. You must govern it according to the Dharma, and not in an unlawful way. If someone acts or leads in an unlawful way, do not let them dwell in your country. Son, young man, when you see the messenger of death, white hair, growing from your head, you too should let the youngest prince rule the power of the kingdom, and practice brahmacharya like a king. In any case, you must follow this certain path of virtue, do not interrupt it, and do not become a vile person. Son, young man, if someone in this good time follows this certain path of virtue, then they will not interrupt it. They will not become vile people. Son, young man, if someone in this good time does not follow this certain path of virtue, then they will interrupt it. They are vile people. Therefore, I say to you, in any case, you must follow this certain path of virtue, do not interrupt it, and do not become a vile person. Then, the great god king let the youngest prince rule the power of the kingdom, and became the great god of this destroyed land.

In this Amra garden, the king practiced the ascetic's pure conduct. The king Mahadeva allowed his eldest son to rule the kingdom, and this king Mahadeva, as a Chakravartin king, from "victorious in the four directions" to "abiding," etc., is the same as before. Then, when the king Mahadeva's hair and beard were being trimmed by the barber, from "trimmed by the barber" to "do not become a lowly person," etc., is the same as before. Then, King Mahadeva allowed his eldest son to rule the kingdom, and then he himself practiced the ascetic's pure conduct. Thus, through the generations of sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons, eighty-four thousand kings of Mahadeva practiced the ascetic's pure conduct. Then, King Mahadeva saw his own perfect offerings and spoke in verses: Among gods and humans, to seek power, and fearing the dread of poverty, give alms to the best of one's ability. In the world, the giver is revered, the giver is honored among gods, like a fruit-bearing tree for birds, is worthy of refuge for all beings. Great King, at that time, King Mahadeva, as a Chakravartin king, initiated the establishment of the path of virtue, and relying on the establishment of the path of virtue that he initiated, eighty-four thousand kings of Mahadeva practiced the ascetic's pure conduct. If you think that was someone else, you should not think that way, because I myself was the Chakravartin king Mahadeva at that time, and I myself initiated the establishment of the path of virtue, and relying on the establishment of the path of virtue that I initiated, eighty-four thousand kings of Mahadeva practiced the ascetic's pure conduct. Great King, if you think that I obtained unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment through giving or the distribution of giving, you should not think that way, but my giving is only the cause, condition, and accumulation for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.
