In Sanskrit: Ārya Arṣa Praśamani Svāhā. In Tibetan: The Noble Sūtra for the Complete Pacification of Hemorrhoids. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was dwelling in Rājagṛha, in the Bamboo Grove, the Garden where the Kalandaka birds reside, together with a great Saṅgha of five hundred monks. Then, on the fifteenth, the Uposatha day, the full moon day, the Blessed One was seated on a seat prepared before the Saṅgha. At that time, the venerable Ānanda was holding a fan at the edge of the Blessed One's robe, fanning the Blessed One. Then, the venerable Ānanda bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and with palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and said: "Blessed One, in this Rājagṛha, many monks suffering from hemorrhoids are afflicted by the disease of hemorrhoids, experiencing unbearable, intense pain and discomfort, and unpleasant feelings. Venerable Blessed One, what should I do for them?" The Blessed One said to the venerable Ānanda: "Ānanda, recite this sūtra for eliminating hemorrhoids. Ānanda, whoever knows the name, words, and letters of this sūtra for eliminating hemorrhoids will not be afflicted by the disease of hemorrhoids for as long as they live. They will remember their past lives for up to seven lifetimes. Tadyathā. Alante. Alame. Śālicinikuśisambhava Svāhā. Ānanda, for example, in the north there is a mountain called the Snow Mountain, the king of snow mountains. There is a special tree called Sāla. It has three flowers: one is called Growth, the second is called Softness, and the third is called Dryness. Just as it is dried, may the wind hemorrhoids of sentient beings be dried, may the bile hemorrhoids be dried, may the phlegm hemorrhoids be dried, may the impure hemorrhoids be dried, may the blood hemorrhoids be dried."

May it dry up! May the accumulated pustules dry up! Likewise, may the phlegm pustules of myself and all sentient beings dry up! May the impure pustules dry up! May the blood pustules dry up! May the accumulated pustules dry up! May the nose pustules dry up! May the hanging pustules dry up! Tadyathā. Śame śamāni. Śame śamāni svāhā. Do not ache! Do not stiffen! Do not make a sound! Do not drip! Do not suffer! Do not suffer greatly! Do not leak! Do not leak greatly! Be exhausted here, completely exhausted, disappear! Go under the earth! Namo bhagavate. Buddhāya satyavādinam. Sidhyantu mantra padāni svāhā. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the venerable Ānanda rejoiced and praised the words spoken by the Bhagavan. This is the ritual: After accomplishing the recitation of this, recite it seven times on a red thread, tie seven knots, and wear it around the neck.
