In the Indian language: Arya Mahalakshmi Sutra. In Tibetan: The Noble Great Glorious Goddess Sutra. Homage to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was dwelling in Sukhavati. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Noble Avalokiteshvara, went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and then sat to one side. Then, the Blessed One looked at the Great Glorious Goddess and spoke thus to the Noble Avalokiteshvara: These twelve names of the Great Glorious Goddess, whether a Bhikshu, or a Bhikshuni, or an Upasaka, or an Upasika, or anyone else who is not these, whoever knows, whoever holds, whoever recites, whoever asks, whoever causes to ask, that person will abandon poverty and become rich. Then, all the assemblies of beings all prayed together, saying: May it be so. Then, the Blessed One spoke the twelve names of the Great Glorious Goddess, as follows: Glorious Goddess, Auspicious Goddess, Garland of Lotuses, Mistress of Wealth, White One, Great Fame, Lotus-eyed One, The Doer, Great Light, Giver of Food, Bestower of Jewels, Great Glorious Goddess. Syad Yathe Dana, Jini, Ghrini, Sarva Artha Sadhani, Shashi Ni Alakshmi Ni, Me Nashaya Siddhyantu Mantra Padah Svaha. Om Bhrikuti Parama Subhage Svaha. It should be recited three times. Whoever recites it at three times, all his unfavorable circumstances will be destroyed. He will be endowed with good fortune. He will have inexhaustible wealth. When going to meet someone, if he recites it before meeting, that person will generate the thought of a son towards him, he will be happy, and will act according to his instructions. If he recites it constantly without interruption, even if Brahma and the Brahmins perform violent actions, they will not be able to stop him, and he will also have served many Buddhas. Having spoken thus, the Blessed One, the Bodhisattva Noble Avalokiteshvara rejoiced, and praised what the Blessed One had said.
