Arya Parakrita. Dara Tsi. Prameru. Phat Phat Du. As soon as this dharani is recited, all the great lands will shake. Sixty kotis, hundreds of thousands of trillions of great Naga kings will fall face down, tremble violently, faint, roll around, and cry. Then the Naga kings will lament to the Bhagavan, saying that this mantra causes great pain to the Nagas. They will plead, "We cannot bear it." The Bhagavan will then instruct, "Naga kings, you must benefit the sentient beings of Jambudvipa, give them happiness and prosperity, protect and save them, make the fields' eyes very full, bring about abundant harvests, do not harm humans and non-humans in any way, and send down rain. In this way, you will obtain long-lasting happiness and be free from all Naga calamities. May you who have feet be well! May you who have four feet be well! May you who have two feet be well! May you who have no feet be well! May your journeys be smooth! May those who return also be well! May you not commit evil. Buddhas and gods of the ten directions, completely surround and proceed, may those with hatred scatter, may those with compassion gather. For the sake of rain in this land, those who dwell in the earth and sky, may you love all sentient beings. When there is no rain and drought occurs, recite the first mantra one hundred times, the middle one fifty times, and the last one seven times. While looking at the clouds, recite silently in the intervals when no one notices. Exceeding the number of recitations will turn it into hail, which is a great sin. If it is directed at the vital point of the Nagas, the sin is even greater. Do not recite repeatedly many times. It is impossible that rain will not fall within one day, two days, or five days. May the Dharma King, who has no old age or death, quickly fulfill all wishes. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the venerable Ananda and those monks rejoiced and praised the words of the Bhagavan.
