In Sanskrit: Arya Sarva Antaraya Kibi Shodhani Nama Dharani. In Tibetan: The Noble Dharani Called "Completely Purifying All Obstacles". Homage to the Buddha! Homage to the Dharma! Homage to the Sangha! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in the east of Rajagriha, in the village of the Brahmins, at the place called the Mango Tree Grove, north of which was the cave of the greatly powerful Relwangpo. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, was about to undergo the nature of death and transference. Having understood the signs indicating the remainder of his life force, he became frightened. Together with his retinue of consorts and attendants, he went to the Blessed One. He bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated him three times, and sat to one side. Again, he sought the purpose of life. The Blessed One spoke to him, saying: Kausika, therefore, listen to these root mantras of knowledge, which will utterly destroy all demons, all external adversaries, and all opposing forces, and which are called "Completely Purifying All Obstacles."
