The Blessed One, the Noble Avalokiteśvara, was dwelling on the summit of the Potala Palace, a place adorned with various fragrant flowers, resembling the color of Jambudvipa gold, in a land where various jewels shone everywhere. Gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, hundreds of thousands of billions, served the Blessed One, regarded him as their teacher, performed rituals, offered and revered him, completely surrounded him, and taught the Dharma before him. It was good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end, with good meaning, good words, unmixed, completely purified, completely cleansed, completely perfected, completely clear, and only purely and correctly proclaimed brahmacharya.
