Prayers. I pray to the kind root Guru, Bless me to merge my mind with yours as one. In the secret cave of Geri (dGe ri) in Nyalmai (Gnyal smad), I pray to the essential heart of the profound Dharma, Bless me to accomplish impartial benefit for beings. In the mandala of the body where the channels are pure, I pray to the peaceful and wrathful deities of Yidam, Bless me to realize the union of skillful means and wisdom. In the secret mandala of the teachings and vows, I pray to the ocean of oath-bound guardians of the teachings, Bless me to pacify adverse conditions and obstacles. Wherever you reside, in secluded mountain retreats, I pray to all Dharma-practicing brothers and sisters, Bless me to accomplish pure vision impartially. Kind and gracious Gurus, Stirred by strong renunciation and weariness, In desolate and solitary mountain retreats, Without attachment, abandoning the appearances of this life, Bless me to complete the practice of longevity. May not a single unwholesome thought arise, Through the power of the Guru's blessings well received, May the thoughts of the eight worldly concerns not arise, With diligence remembering death from the heart, Bless me to accomplish the benefit of myself and others. Always diligent in practice, Never hindered by obstacles or demons, May qualities and realization, like the waxing moon, Bless me to increase from above to above.
