In the space in front, may the Buddha Amitabha, inseparable from the glorious and precious lama, be clearly visible, adorned with marks and signs, seated in meditative equipoise in the vajra posture on a lotus, moon, and lion throne. May all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions and three times heed me. I rejoice in the vast accumulations of merit and wisdom of the glorious and precious lama, and in all the roots of virtue of noble beings and ordinary individuals. I rejoice with the utmost sincerity. Having gathered together the roots of virtue from such rejoicing and all the roots of virtue from this practice, I offer them to the Buddha Amitabha and all the victorious ones, together with their children and disciples. Through this offering, may the glorious lama who has passed away, wherever he may be in the realms of the three kayas, have an inconceivable ocean of offering clouds arise before him. May the auspicious eight symbols, the seven precious royal emblems, the sixteen offering goddesses, and other inconceivable offerings, as described in the conduct of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, arise continuously in the three times before all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions. May it be obtained as desired. May all sentient beings be endowed with happiness, free from suffering, and quickly attain the unsurpassed enlightenment. May all such virtuous roots be gathered and combined, and may they ripen in the mind-stream of the one called Ngawang Kelsang right now. Through this ripening, may all sins, obscurations, and faults accumulated from beginningless samsara be purified and cleansed. May the two accumulations of merit and wisdom increase and expand like the waxing moon. May pure morality be guarded like the pupil of the eye. May I be adorned with the ornaments of the three precious trainings. May the six perfections be completely fulfilled. May the four immeasurables arise in my mind-stream. May I be rich in the seven noble riches. May I possess the wealth of the four means of gathering. May I gain stability in the generation stage of the yidam deity. May the channels, energies, and bindus of the completion stage become workable. May the realization of clear light, the Great Seal, be directly realized.
