From within emptiness, from paṃ (藏文:པཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:pam) arises a variegated lotus. From raṃ (藏文:རཾ,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,汉语字面意思:ram) arises a sun disc. Upon it, one's own consciousness as hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:huṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) transforms into a white staff marked with a fresh human head. From that, rays of light emanate, utterly destroying all hostile, malevolent enemies and obstructors. Offerings are made to the Buddhas. The benefit of sentient beings is accomplished. Gathering back in, it completely transforms. Oneself becomes the Bhagavan Mañjuśrī Yamāntaka, the color of whose body blazes like the fire at the end of time. One face, red, with three round eyes glaring with hatred and swirling like blood. The mouth is open, with four fangs bared like a crescent moon. The beard and eyebrows are reddish-yellow, blazing upwards. The hair is reddish-yellow, standing on end, bound with a white snake. The headdress is of five dry skulls, adorned with five jeweled crests. On the forehead is a mass of great ashes. On the cheeks are drops of blood. On the om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:om,汉语字面意思:Om) are patterns of ghee. These are the three ornaments of anointing. The six bone ornaments, the hanging garland of snakes, the necklace of human heads, these are the three ornaments of wearing. An elephant skin upper garment, a belt of human skin, a tiger skin lower garment, these are the three garments of wearing. The body is graceful, heroic, terrifying, the voice is fierce, scolding and threatening, the mind is compassionate, peaceful, and untamed, possessing the nine blazing dances. The right hand holds aloft in the sky a white staff marked with a fresh human head. The left hand holds at the heart a skull cup filled with the blood of the four māras. The right leg is bent, pressing upon the horns of the buffalo, the essence of Yama, Lord of Death, while the left leg is extended, trampling upon the buffalo's hip. The consort, Vajra Vetali, red in color, holding a curved knife and skull cup, embraces in indivisibility. At her heart is the jñānasattva, a small body with complete limbs. Become one and indivisible. Invite the five families of empowerment deities. Empowered, the sign of empowerment, Vajrasattva becomes the crown of the head. From the mantra circle around the red Hūṃ at the heart, rays of light gather the blessings of all the Buddhas and dissolve into me. My body, speech, and mind become inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of Red Yamāntaka. oṃ hrīḥ vikitānana śrī nā hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཧྲཱིལླི་ཝི་ཀྲི་ཏཱ་ན་ཤྲཱི་ན་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ་ཕཊ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari: , IAST: oṃ hrīḥ vikitānana śrī nā hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā, Literal meaning: Om, Hrih, Vikritanana, Shri, Na, Hum, Hum, Phat, Phat, Svaha), this is the heart mantra. oṃ yamāntaka hūṃ phaṭ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཡ་མཱནྟ་ཀ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari: , IAST: oṃ yamāntaka hūṃ phaṭ, Literal meaning: Om, Yamantaka, Hum, Phat), this is the near heart mantra, recite no less than one hundred and eight times. Again, the brief visualization is: oṃ svabhāva, etc. From emptiness, from the letter paṃ (Tibetan: པཾ་) arises a lotus, from the letter raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ་) arises a sun disc, upon which from the letter hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་) arises a white club marked with a fresh human head, marked with a red hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་), from which light radiates. Accomplishing the two benefits, it gathers back and completely transforms. From that, arises Yamāntaka, body red in color, one face, two arms, three eyes, yellow hair standing on end. The right hand holds aloft a white club marked with a human head, the left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood. The wisdom consort of his own light embraces the consort holding a kartrika and skull cup, adorned with tigers and snakes. Upon various lotuses and buffaloes, he sits with the right leg bent and the left leg extended. From the seed syllable at the heart, from the seed syllable arises a three-tiered deity marked with hand implements and seed syllables. On its forehead is a white oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་), at the throat is a red āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ), etc., similar to before. The death of all sentient beings is Yama. Since no sentient being is immortal, in the end, they must go to the mouth of Yama. From the Buddhas of the three times downwards, even to the insects in the grass, there is great power to devour life force, called the Lord of Death, Yama. This deity is Yamāntaka, who destroys Yama. Rāga Asya said. The self-generation of Yamāntaka.
