A Record of Concluding the Subjugation of Obstacle-Creating Spirits by Hayagriva. A Record of Concluding the Subjugation of Obstacle-Creating Spirits by Hayagriva. Namo Hayagriva! For a mantra practitioner who has previously completed the recitation quota for Hayagriva, the taming of nagas and dragons, the method for subduing or controlling any kind of obstructing spirit is as follows: First, firmly establish yourself in the generation stage of the five-deity Hayagriva mandala. Then, emanate countless wrathful deities identical to yourself from your heart center. For whomever you are protecting, whether it be yourself or another, those obstructing spirits are seized by the wrathful deities with iron hooks from their hearts, and their limbs are bound with lassos. Emit a fierce horse neighing sound and chop the heads and bodies of the spirits into hundreds and thousands of pieces with swords. Offer all the flesh and blood to the mouths of the primary deity in the visualization, who consumes them with relish. Burn all the remnants with the blazing flames emanating from the bodies of the wrathful deities. Dissolve the consciousness into the heart of the primary Hayagriva deity, into the nature of reality. Alternatively, visualize the consciousness transforming into a red "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), propelled by the breath exhaled from your nostrils, shooting like an arrow released by a great archer into the Sukhavati Pure Land, dissolving into the center of a lotus. Visualize all of existence filled with emanated wrathful deities and blazing mountains of fire. Proclaim a fierce mantra like the simultaneous roar of a thousand dragons, causing Mount Meru to shake, the ocean to churn, and all obstructing forces to tremble with fear, their eyes wide open, listening to the command of the great hero. In this way, offer the life-essence. Then say, "From now on, do not cause harm." Accomplish the activities of all Dharma protectors without obstruction. Visualize all the Sugatas of the ten directions gathering like clouds in the sky, all transforming into the form of Hayagriva, descending like rain and dissolving into oneself, causing power and blessings to increase like adding wood to a fire.

Oh! Extract the heart essence, extract! Cut, cut! Kham (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: kham, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness), Kham (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: kham, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness)! Lam (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: लं, Sanskrit Romanization: lam, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable), Lam (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: लं, Sanskrit Romanization: lam, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable)! Smash, smash! Chop into pieces, chop into pieces! Nayi gara dza mara ya, smash, kill! Quickly, wrap with cloth strips, mara ya, cut! Recite this hundreds and thousands of times. If less, it is also okay to recite seven times or once a day. If in a dream you see killing women, or turning the objects of worship upside down, or making promises and vows, or beating women, etc., if ominous signs appear, then you must not recite this mantra. Finally, gather all the manifested wrathful deities into yourself. Then, abide for a long time in the state of non-objectification, the Great Perfection. During the breaks between sessions, it is very important to cultivate strong compassion for that demon. If you do not cultivate compassion, and the demon is very powerful, there is a risk of relapse. If you do this with great power, if it is a small demon, it will lose its life, and it is said that the sin is great. Therefore, do it moderately, and it is not necessary to recite the long mantra more than ten million times. Finally, make extensive dedication and aspiration prayers. Thus, for all kinds of demons such as kings, planets, nagas, and demons, there is no difference except for changing the name. For plagues, stove heat diseases, etc., there is nothing more profound than this long mantra. At the end of the mantra, where it says "Naga ra dza," you can add: for female demons, add "Matri"; for kings, add "Radza"; for planets, add "Rahula," etc. For nagas, add "Naga Raka." Because it is sharply combined, it is similar. This was written by A-ra-ga at the urging of Tagwang. Mangalam! Mangalam! A record of Hayagriva subduing demons.
