Until this precious human life with freedom and opportunity, Has accomplished the great purpose, Grant that there be no untimely death. Until this naked awareness, so difficult to realize, Has gained the certainty of deathlessness, Grant that there be no untimely death. Until I, my students, and all those connected to us, Have travelled to the realm of great bliss, And have reached the end of the two accumulations, Grant that there be no untimely death. Until this body of conditioned ripening, Has matured into the nature of the mandala, Pacify the obstacles of untimely death. Those vidyadharas with great compassion. This was written, I think, in a dream, When I had completed five days of the approach practice Of the Secret Gathering for Accomplishing Longevity. In the realm of space, sixty years of age Are like a rainbow, appearing but without inherent existence. When it appears clearly, this formless sound arises. The Dharma King Kunzang is a Wood Hare year, And Dondrup is said to be a Fire Hare year. I understood these to be prophecies of the length of life. I thought that my life was sixty years. At that time, it was not sixty-one years. Such a sound arose during the experience.
