The teaching on entering the eighth abode of equipoise. The teaching on entering the eighth abode of equipoise. When explaining the eighth abode, the qualities of such knowing nature (from powers to direct cognition) have been explained. (Since these also arise from equipoise.) Now, qualities gathered by samadhi and the like, other than knowing, such as dhyana and the formless realms, will be explained. Among these, there are two: the explanation of dhyana and the formless realms, and the explanation of the qualities that depend on them. The teaching on entering the eighth abode of equipoise.
