Chapter Five of Pramana. Chapter Five of Pramana. Namo Guru. This self-nature of emptiness-mind, the five chakras, etc., appear as deities. Why meditate on emptiness from the outside? If seeking union from elsewhere, it is not. First, the chapter on generation, completion, and union. The initial consciousness does not change anywhere. When one who knows the emptiness of the two selves and what belongs to them becomes the sole path to travel, it is to have reached the peak of all the grounds. Second, the chapter on knowing the first. There is nothing other than the mind in all phenomena. What is supreme among the three, appearance and emptiness? Everything is empty and greatly empty, extremely empty. If one knows what is seen as empty, then one is mindful. Third, the chapter on the supreme emptiness of the all-knowing nature. What is called knowing the nature of the mind? What is the manner in which its own nature abides? Unthinking, spontaneously accomplished, wale-wa. Seeing it as it abides, ah-re-ga. Fourth, the chapter on the joy of seeing the nature of the mind. This emptiness, dependent arising, has no action and no karmic ripening... In the extensive Prajnaparamita, it is said that all phenomena are empty, and there is no action, nor is there karmic ripening. Thus it is said. In the Fifty Verses on Moral Discipline, just as a lotus is extremely red, just as it is not stained by the faults of wrongdoing, so too, in the emptiness of all phenomena, one is not stained by the faults of action. The Buddha said that arising occurs when causes and conditions gather. Therefore, there is action, and there is karmic ripening. Fifth, the chapter on cause and effect. Following the previous wise ones, the composition by Tishri Repa is complete.
