Instructions to Upa Pema Instructions to Upa Pema On the ground of Upa Pema, the rain of bodhichitta falls. The hail of emptiness of mind meets, that great realized being. Sprinkles the nectar of the five desires, cultivates with the two, skillful means and wisdom. On the yoke of unwavering faith, erects the plow of self-luminous clarity. Strikes with the whip of unforgetting mindfulness, eradicates the weeds of afflictions from the root. Levels the ground in great bliss, sows the seeds of precious qualities. Plants the root of intrinsic purity, sprouts the shoots of experience and realization. Grows the trunk of the stages of the path, the branches of the five activities flourish. The flowers of the two knowledges are beautiful, the fruits of the three bodies of wisdom ripen. The fortunate one has a harvest of wisdom, accomplishes the supreme and common attainments.
