A Letter to the Venerable Gyola. You possess the precious human body with leisure and endowment, adorned with the ornament of discipline. Your speech, the sound of the breath, is endowed with the voice of Brahma. Your own mind is the pure Dharmakaya, rich in compassion and wisdom. May the contaminated happiness of your own being be transformed into the great bliss of non-duality. In this time of possessing the four qualities, do not let yourself be controlled by demons. We who practice Dharma must see samsara as suffering. If you do not see samsara as suffering, there is a danger of practicing Dharma in vain. It is crucial not to deceive your own mind. You must seek a Lama who leads the way. If you do not meet a true Lama, there is a danger of encountering an evil friend. If you see the Lama as a Buddha, accomplishments will arise. You must have your own appearances arise as deities. If your own appearances do not arise as deities, there is a danger of meditating on the generation stage of conceptual imputation. Know that it is the perfected generation stage. You must realize your own mind as the Dharmakaya. If you do not realize your own mind as the Dharmakaya, there is a danger of meditating on emptiness as something other. Do not be separated from the natural state. Your actions must be in accordance with the Dharma. If your actions are not in accordance with the Dharma, there is a danger of accepting and rejecting actions. Make your actions in accordance with the Dharma. You must find the Buddha within yourself. If you do not find the Buddha within yourself, there is a danger of seeking the fruit from elsewhere.
