"Rañjeti" (charms) means it delights. It is said that by qualities like security and abundance, it makes future people come, and does not let those who have come go elsewhere. "Rohitamigā" are deer of golden color. "Sāka" is so called because this Kaliyuga (dark age) was again established by a king named Sāka. Which is now also referred to as Sākra-rāja (King Sākra). And that compilation of Dhamma-Vinaya prevails in the northern regions. But the compilation by Thera Yasa in Vesālī is in the southern regions. Four ages are designated in the world: Satya-yuga, Dvāpara-yuga, Tretā-yuga, and Kali-yuga. And "yuga" (age) refers to the measure of life. But now the Kaliyuga prevails. Therefore it is said "Sāka means Kaliyuga." The meaning is "age of evil." "La Tī" is a forest that got its name in the manner of Myanmar usage, being a place for clearing rice fields. And that was born in a place five hundred bows (distance) near the city of Muṃrvā. "Vissute" means especially renowned. "Sārāsāra vivekino" means those who discern the essence and the non-essence, by the habit of knowing after investigation. Thus, the sub-commentary to the Paramatthadīpanī is finished. 1.
